Okay, it’s finally happening and we’ve been waiting for this day for what seems like FOREVER!
We are getting ready to set sail on the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Treasure. Now, there is a LOT to get excited about when it comes to this ship, including the fact that it has the first EVER Haunted Mansion-inspired lounge. But that’s not all; there are also some unique dining experiences, fun activities, and so much more. So come with us as we check it all out!
We were offered an opportunity to visit the Disney Treasure ahead of its maiden voyage on December 21st, 2024 and we have all the details on what you can expect to see and experience when sailing on this brand-new Disney cruise ship!
Christening
On Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, Disney held its christening ceremony for the Disney Treasure, and we got an exciting new look at some of the ship’s offerings.
Via a live video, Disney shared some previews of the ship’s interior…
…sneak peeks of dining and lounging options like Skipper Society Lounge…
…the Haunted Mansion Parlor…
…and so much more!
Then, singer/actress Jordin Sparks took the stage and sang the Disney Treasure’s official anthem, “Live the Adventure.”
During the performance, there were interludes of other Disney songs that represent experiences coming to the ship. These songs were accompanied by a drone show that featured moving images like this one of Madame Leota!

Can’t forget the Hitchhiking Ghosts!
We also saw a representation of the new Disney The Tale of Moana show coming to the ship, among several other drone images!
To catch everything from the christening, check out our post below!
Boarding
Welcome to Day Two of the preview! This is the day we were REALLY looking forward to — we’re BOARDING the Disney Treasure.
The port terminal was all decked out with Disney Cruise Line decorations — it really pumped us up before we stepped onboard the ship.
Fair warning for all you first-timers planning to take a Disney Cruise: patience is the name of the game when it comes to embarkation day. It takes a while to get everyone on the ship, so bring something to do while you wait to board!
Grand Hall
Stay calm. It’s happening! We boarded the ship, walked straight into the Grand Hall, and were greeted by Minnie Mouse (in her NEW adventure outfit!).
The Grand Hall and atrium area is STUNNING — it’s bright, ornate, and full of gorgeous details.
Make sure to snap a photo in here as you board the ship; it’s a real show-stopper moment.
Speaking of fabulous photo ops, make sure to check out the NEW Aladdin and Jasmine statue in the Grand Hall!
The stage has some beautiful details as well — we love that floral motif on either side of the stage.
The Grand Hall is just the beginning, though! Next, we’re off to EAT.
Dining
One of the brand-new restaurants we were MOST excited to visit was
. This dining spot is a real fiesta! The story goes that you are transported to the plaza of Santa Cecilia for this multi-night, Coco-themed theatrical dining experience. The menu is filled with Mexican dishes, so look out for some savory eats and sweet treats! The dining room was filled with color and energy!
On the first night at this restaurant, you will watch Miguel and the town mariachis play live songs and dance to the fiesta music. Then, on the second night, the restaurant will transform into a Dia de los Muertos celebration with Mamá Coco, Abuelita, and the rest of the Rivera family.
We can’t wait to try all those new menu items. Stay tuned for our review!
Next stop: the Worlds of Marvel restaurant!
This restaurant will host two unique nights of dining! First, there’s the brand-new “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,” which follows Groot during his on-screen quest to throw the ultimate surprise party for his friend Rocket.
Then, in “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” look out for an in-person appearance by Spider-Man as you help save the day. In a word, we can describe this dining experience as EPIC. (P.S. there’s a new Pym Particle Enlarged Coke Can souvenir available here!)
We went inside the restaurant and had a blast — check out our tour of the restaurant!
Disney’s 1923 restaurant was first seen on the Disney Wish, but now, you can visit this upscale restaurant on the Treasure, too! The name comes from the year The Walt Disney Studios was founded, so expect special nods to classic animation and Disney history.
We got a peek at the Roy Disney side of the restaurant! Disney hinted that you can find all kinds of storyboards, sketches, and props from adventure-themed Disney movies like Tarzan, The Lion King, Aladdin, and more. Here’s a peek at some Up details we spotted in the dining room.
Plaza de Coco, Worlds of Marvel, and 1923 are the three restaurants that make up the rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Treasure.

There are also some adult-only restaurants on the ship, like Palo Steakhouse, an elegant restaurant serving a range of steak dishes and Italian menu items. We also visited Enchanté, which features an international menu crafted by 3-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement. It’s gorgeous!
The Rose is an adult-exclusive lounge that serves cocktails with a VIEW!
OK, so we’ve covered the dinner restaurants, but where can we go for breakfast, lunch, and snacks? Don’t you worry — Disney has PLENTY of options!
We visited the HeiHei Café…
…Jumbeaux’s Sweets (a highlight of our day!!)…
…and Marceline Market.
Each of these quick-service spots serves a variety of foods and drinks, so you’ve got plenty of options throughout your days onboard the ship!
We may not be able to see the backside of water, but we can enjoy some fun drinks at the new Skipper Society lounge! This lounge is dedicated to all things Jungle Cruise, so look out for fun hidden details! Expect fun cocktails and lots of puns and “refined nods” to this classic Disney ride.
We love that Disney is embracing 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, too, and created a lounge experience inspired by the story. In this lounge, it will seem like you really are UNDER the sea as you sail around in a submarine while drinking craft brews, eating some light bites, and more. Here’s a peek at Periscope Pub!
There are even more lounges to check out, but we won’t keep you in suspense any longer. Time for the moment you’ve been waiting for…
We’re going inside the ICONIC Haunted Mansion Parlor!
This was made for Disney fans. There are dancing ghosts, singing busts, and all kinds of sneaky hidden details.
Even the soda is Haunted Mansion-themed!
Oh, and there’s also a SECRET MENU, but you have to crack the code in order to unlock the special drinks!
We have SO. MUCH. to say about this lounge; check out our post below for more details!
Room Tours
OK, this is important, so listen up! There are several types of rooms available on the Disney Treasure. There are inside rooms, oceanview rooms, verandah rooms, concierge rooms, and royal suites.
There’s something for everyone! This first one is an interior stateroom, which does not have a window or a verandah, but still includes beautiful details and comfortable amenities. Thanks to Small World Vacations for the photos!
The Family Verandah stateroom is inspired by Luca!
We also have a look at a Verandah Stateroom. In total, the Disney Treasure has 1,256 staterooms, and of those, there are 948 verandah staterooms. Verandah staterooms are outside staterooms and have been designed with families in mind, complete with upscale amenities.
Make sure to take a look at the prices before you book a room — the prices will vary depending on the type of room you prefer.
We also got to check-out Lion King-themed concierge rooms!

Speaking of prices, if you’re willing to splurge, Disney is offering a SUPER luxurious Tomorrow Tower Suite inspired by EPCOT!
This suite has multiple bedrooms and a STUNNING view of the ocean.
We also got to stop by the Aladdin-inspired Rajah Royal Suite! We were definitely feeling like royalty inside of this stateroom.

Entertainment
No ship tour is complete without some entertainment! We got a sneak peek at the new Moana show, Disney The Tale of Moana.
Check out a sneak peek of the NEW Moana show!
In the Grand Hall, you can listen to a story by Coriander and Sage!
If you’ve got little ones looking for a place to explore, look no further than the Oceaneer Club!
This club is packed with Disney-themed areas, but one of our favorites was this ride simulator!
There’s also a nursery inspired by “it’s a small world.” This place was adorable!
The entertainment facility onboard the ship is called Sarabi! There is plenty of seating and some subtle Lion King decor throughout the area.
You truly never know who you might bump into on the ship!
AquaMouse and Upper Deck
While the AquaMouse isn’t running quite yet, we did get a first look at the water coaster!
Don’t forget — this attraction features a brand-new story just for the Disney Treasure! You must be 48” to ride alone.
The upper deck is where it’s AT! There were several pools…
…plenty of places to grab a bite to eat…
..and lots of lounge chairs for relaxing.
Merchandise
We also got a peek at some of the merchandise that will be available on the Disney Treasure! Each cruise ship offers a unique selection of ship-specific merchandise, and we were super excited to see some of the exclusive merchandise.
SNEAK PEEK at the Disney Treasure’s Exclusive Merchandise
We’re so excited to get a chance to see the Disney Treasure up close and in person. We still can’t believe we got to experience everything this ship has to offer ahead of its inagural sailing. Make sure to stay tuned to DFB for Disney Cruise Line news!
