Anchor’s away!
The Disney Treasure — the latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line’s seemingly ever-expanding fleet is almost ready for its maiden voyage! This week, Disney gave us a SNEAK PEEK at the new ship during a media preview in New York City!
We got to scope out many of the Treasure’s new areas, including the Coco restaurant, Jungle Cruise lounge, Haunted Mansion Parlor, and more! We even got to take a look at the ship’s new small dining areas: HeiHei Café, Jumbeaux’s Sweets, and Jade Cricket Café.
HeiHei Café
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: we love a coffee stop on vacation. We need a little sweet treat to hold us over! If you’re looking for a place to take a caffeine break, you can head to the HeiHei Cafe! This is one of two specialty walkup cafés near the Grand Hall.
HeiHei is keeping watch over the proceedings at this walkup cafe, so make sure you say hi!
The cafe has lots of places to sit and even some purse hooks and outlets to charge your phone. They really thought of everything, didn’t they?
Disney is serving up its typical menu of coffee and lattes here, so make sure to stop by if you need a treat!
Jade Cricket Café
The second specialty walkup café is inspired by Mulan! It’s called Jade Cricket Café and features gorgeous decorations and lots of seating.
The cafe has soft chairs and a full menu full of specialty drinks!
Make sure to stop by during your visit!
Jumbeaux’s Sweets
Disney’s new Zootopia-themed ice cream parlor is ADORABLE! This sweet spot is inspired by Jerry Jumbeaux Jr. from Zootopia, and the details will melt your heart (but not your ice cream — keep that cold!).
This spot serves over 31 flavors of handmade gelato and ice cream, plus specialty treats, candies, and more! Make sure to take a photo with Judy and Nick while you’re at it.
Here’s a peek at the menu. You can get a milkshake, a sundae, a scoop (or three) of ice cream, and even gelato!
Of course, there are PLENTY of toppings, too. Load it up, people!
If you want a little snack to go with your ice cream, you can enjoy everything from chocolate-dipped strawberries to macarons!
There are brownies, cupcakes, and even carrot cake treats. There’s something for everyone!
Of course, we also spotted some Zootopia-inspired treats for $5.50.
Here’s our ice cream — we kept it simple. No fancy butter brickle-esque snacks for us today. We have an entire ship to explore!
But, for all you Disney Cruise Line visitors who aren’t on the job, feel free to get creative with your sundae creations! Here’s a peek at the souvenir ice cream truck you can get with your treat.
Don’t forget to take the time to look around the restaurant! There are so many fun details in this ice cream shop.
As you can see, we had some fun here. But now, it’s time for our next stop!
Marceline Market
The Marceline Market has made its way to the Disney Treasure! This quick-service spot was inspired by Walt Disney’s early childhood hometown in Missouri.
This marketplace is full of all kinds of foods — we’re talking classic favorites, international specialties, and plant-based offerings for breakfast and lunch.
Make sure to load up on drinks!
Although it looks like there is a LOT of seating, this dining area can fill up! Make sure to go early if you’re trying to sit with a large group of people.
The Disney Treasure small dining areas are simple and charming. We loved getting to explore all these little areas of the ship. Stay tuned to DFB for more on the latest Disney Cruise Line ship!
