It’s time for an ice cream break at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays!
The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially begun, and there is a lot to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you. We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — Swirled Showcase — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at Swirled Showcase, you’ll find a festive variety of frozen treats including the Holiday Mickey-shaped Liquid Nitrogen Pop, several soft-serve ice cream flavors, and boozy and non-boozy ice cream floats!
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Holiday Mickey-shaped Liquid Nitrogen Pop, which is a chocolate cake dipped in ganache made with Red & Green M&M’S Milk Chocolate Minis. This is a returning item for 2024.
As far as taste goes, this one is pretty basic. It’s heavy on the chocolate flavor, and the ganache was surprisingly melty. The M&Ms add a nice crunchy texture, but really you’re probably just buying this treat for the fun liquid nitrogen effect.
It’s $4.75 and when you order, you can watch the chefs dip it in the liquid nitrogen through the window — that’s the main appeal here. Fun visual, basic treat!
If you’re in the mood for soft serve, they have two unique flavors — dark chocolate, which is new for the Festival of the Holidays, and the returning apple cinnamon soft serve! They’re $6.50 each and served in a waffle cone.
For our more basic pals, they also have vanilla soft serve. It’s the same price as the other two.
But what about beverages?
Drinks
Speaking of vanilla soft serve, you can order a couple of non-boozy floats at Swirled Showcase that feature that flavor — Barq’s Red Crème Soda or Barq’s Root Beer with vanilla Soft-serve. We’ve had these in the past and they’re simple and refreshing. They’re $6.75 each.
If you’re in the mood for something stronger, there are some spiked floats as well! The first boozy float on the menu is the Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. Bourbonola and Cherry Cola. While we didn’t order it this year, you can get it for $12. You can also order the boozy Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. Bourbonola with dark chocolate soft-serve, the Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and Barq’s Red Crème Soda with apple cinnamon soft-serve, or the Coffee Float made with dark chocolate soft-serve with iced coffee and choice of Mozart Liqueur for $12.50 each.
OVERALL
This is a great place to stop if you’re hoping to snag some sweet treats, but most of the things you’ll find at this spot aren’t groundbreaking. They’ve got ice cream, chocolate, and floats, but at an EPCOT festival known for its desserts, there are SO many other sweets to try! We’d recommend the liquid nitrogen pop for its fun effect, but it’s not revolutionary taste-wise. However, if you’re hoping to snag a boozy float, this booth is probably a can’t-miss!
This might be the COOLEST treat at Festival of the Holidays! 🥶
