One of the most-asked questions we hear is, “What shoes are best for Disney World?” Well, as people who go to Disney World every day, we feel uniquely qualified to answer this.
Disney World requires a lot of walking, and if you haven’t been in a while, you might be thinking, “Well, I walk around a lot every day,” but Disney World is different. With four parks plus Disney Springs, Disney hotels, and water parks to conquer during your trip, your feet will need support and structure to survive. We are telling you the shoes we think are best for your Disney trip in hopes of helping you have the best trip possible.
If you still haven’t tried Amazon Prime, now is the perfect time to help with that holiday shopping. You can try it for FREE by clicking below.
HOKA Men’s Clifton 9
HOKAs have become one of our team’s favorite shoes for Disney World. They are supportive and breathable. These shoes are cushioned well to absorb shock while walking. These are a great option for those rope drop-to-fireworks days where you will be doing a lot of walking in the parks.
Women’s On Cloud 5
On Clouds are known for their lightweight feel, making you feel like you are walking “on clouds”. These sneakers are designed for everyday wear. We also appreciate that these are the slip-on kind, making it even easier to put them on when you’re late to your dining reservation!
Women’s Teva Sandals
For those who aren’t fans of wearing tennis shoes all day at the parks, these sandals are a great option. Teva Sandals are classic athletic sandals that feature hook-and-loop webbing straps with padded heel straps. We love the idea of pairing these with a sundress if you are going to a nice dining reservation while out on a park day. These are great if it rains as well because they won’t stay wet like tennis shoes.
Men’s Teva Langdon Sandal
These sandals have an easy hook-and-loop closure, come on and off quickly, and get you the fit just right. They are lined with lightweight, breathable mesh that keeps your feet cool and comfortable. These are great for men on rainy days or even on days when you know you’ll be hitting up water rides like Kali River Rapids.
The Classic Crocs
Alright, we totally know that Crocs are controversial when talking about shoes for Disney World. Some may find them uncomfortable, while some swear by them. We love that these can be easy. When you’re headed for a water ride, these are a great option; we even love the idea of keeping them in your park bag to change into if your shoes get wet, or just to give your feet a break. Just be warned — they can get a little slippery when it’s super wet outside!
Men’s Brooks Glycerin Shoes
The Glycerin GTS 20 is for runners “who think there is no such thing as too much cushioning” but might need more support. This helps to “guide your body in its natural path of motion while keeping excess movement in check.” These are a great option for those of us who might have feet pain in normal tennis shoes.

Never wear brand new shoes–they must be broken in. I recommend Skechers Max Cushioning. My daughter is prone to painful blisters. She wore my max cushioning skechers and she did really well with them.

I wore my almost new Hoka’s, Saturday thru Saturday (walking airports both Saturdays) without ever pulling out my backup shoes. Yes, my feet got tired, but no blisters! Only footwear switch was to flip flops for pool & barefoot in room!

My family visited three parks this past November. My husband wore Brooks, got blisters. My daughter wore Nikes, got blisters. I wore Aasics FF Blast +, with an additional cushion added. I was fitted courtesy of Big Dog running store, no blisters. Also consider two major airports, and the resort.
