We’ve got good news and bad news if you’ve got an upcoming stay planned at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The good news: you’ve got an upcoming stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort! The bad news: The Courtyard Pool will be closing for refurbishment from January 20th through late February, so if you were looking to go for a winter swim at this pool — you might be out of luck.
The Courtyard Pool, spa, and Courtyard Pool Bar at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be closed for refurbishment from January 20th through “late February” according to the Disney World website. We spotted an update we hadn’t seen before that alerted us to the closure. If you’ve got an upcoming stay at the Grand Floridian, this is definitely something you want to keep in mind.
While the Courtyard Pool will be closed, you’re not totally out of luck as the Grand Floridian’s main pool — the Beach Pool — will still be available for hotel guests to enjoy. You’ll also still be able to grab some snacks and drinks at the Beaches Pool Bar located nearby as well.
The Courtyard Pool joins Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club hotels and the Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, which are also currently closed for refurbishment. At the Yacht and Beach Club, hotel guests can use the Tidal (Beach Club), Admiral (Yacht Club), and Dunes Cove (Beach Club) leisure pools in the meantime. At All-Star Movies, the Duck Pond Pool will be available.
We don’t have an official end date for the Courtyard Pool closure at the Grand Floridian, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know more!
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest pool closure updates from Disney World and more. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog so you don’t miss any important announcements and news!
