Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk in California will remain closed today, January 9th, 2025.
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk were also closed yesterday and will remain closed today due to extreme winds and fire conditions.
According to ABC 7 News, high winds which have been fueling the fires in the region will peak on Thursday evening into early Friday morning. Firefighters are battling several wildfires across Southern California in Los Angeles County. Fires are located in areas including Pacific Palisades, San Gabriel Valley, Sylmar, and the Hollywood Hills. Red flag warnings are currently in effect and will remain in place until 6 PM.
The wildfires have burned tens of thousands of acres and destroyed thousands of structures, and mandatory evacuations are in place for specific areas. As a result, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk have decided to remain closed for another day for the safety of their team members and guests. They will continue to assess the situation and provide updates to guests.
