When you visit the most popular theme park destination in the world, it’s not totally unfeasible that you might run into a celebrity.
Celebrity sightings are nothing new at Disney World. However, celebrity chef sightings can be a bit more hit or miss. With that said, your odds are still decent at Disney World, considering the resort is home to TONS of celebrity chef restaurants and other fine-dining experiences. If your goal is to see a celebrity chef, we recommend checking out some Disney World spots during future visits!
The entire Disney World Resort has hundreds upon hundreds of restaurants, including many celebrity chef-owned restaurants. In fact, 16 come to mind, and maybe — just maybe — you might spot a celebrity chef hanging out at one of them.
eet by Maneet Chauhan
You’re going to see a trend featuring plenty of Disney Springs restaurants with this list. Starting us off is Disney’s Springs’ eet by Maneet Chauhan.
One of the newer restaurants at Disney World, eet is a restaurant by James Beard Award-winning chef and Food Network star Maneet Chauhan and her hospitality entrepreneur husband Vivek Deora. Located in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs, this restaurant that serves Indian cuisine actually had a meet-and-greet event in 2023 where participants could have their meal prepared by Chef Chauhan herself!
Jaleo by Chef José Andrés
One of a handful of American locations, Disney Springs’ Jaleo is a Spanish restaurant from Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup.
Jaleo has an extensive menu of tapas that showcase traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine, such as paella, hand-carved Jamon Iberico de Bellota, and wood-grilled Iberico pork. As for Chef José Andrés, he has been named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People twice, named Humanitarian of the Year by the James Beard Foundation, and nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 for disaster relief work through World Central Kitchen.
Chicken Guy!
You don’t have to venture very far in Disney Springs to reach Flavortown — just head on over to Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy! restaurant!
This flagship restaurant is headed by superstar and world-renowned Chef Guy Fieri and restauranteur Robert Earl and features a menu that offers all-natural Chicken Tenders paired with a variety of sauces as well as sandwiches, salad bowls, mac-and-cheese, frozen treats, and more.
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant in Disney Springs is one of our favorites in all of Disney World and is a spot where you can potentially meet a celebrity chef! The restaurant offers Florida-based and Southern comfort cuisine and consistently delivers a delicious experience.
Celebrity Chef Art Smith is known as a BBQ Pitmaster Judge, author of Art Smith’s Healthy Comfort and other cookbooks, founder of Art and Soul in Washington, D.C., and Table Fifty-Two in Chicago, and former Chef to Oprah Winfrey. The Florida native is very active in the happenings of this restaurant and even sat down to have lunch with us in 2024!
Morimoto Asia
Head over to The Landing in Disney Springs and dine at Morimoto Asia, one of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s restaurants!
Morimoto’s first Pan-Asian restaurant focuses on Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines and features show kitchens where chefs exhibit traditions like Peking Duck Carving. Chef Morimoto has made several appearances at the Disney World restaurant so it’s possible you might see him during one of your visits!
Todd English’s bluezoo
Todd English’s signature bluezoo restaurant at the Dolphin Resort is highly acclaimed for its seafood and innovative menu items.
Having won several awards, including the AAA Four Diamond award, bluezoo is one of Disney World’s best dining locations. As for Chef Todd English, he has over 20 restaurants, so you might not run into him, but it’s worth the try to see this four-time James Beard Award winner, James Beard Foundation’s “Who’s Who in Food and Beverage in America” inductee, author, kitchen innovator, and Emmy-nominated personality known for his PBS travel series Food Trip with Todd English.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
Back at Disney Springs, keep an eye out for Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill! Wolfgang Puck is one of the most iconic celebrity chefs in the world, and his restaurants can be found worldwide, even at Disney World!
Located in the Town Center of Disney Springs, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is another chapter of Wolfgang Puck’s history at Disney World. He previously had the Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Dining Room on the West Side of Disney Springs and the Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace. Wolfgang Puck is in demand all over the world, but it’s still possible he’ll make an appearance at Disney World.
Pepe by José Andrés
Get ready for another appearance by Chef José Andrés! Pepe by José Andrés is the first brick-and-mortar location patterned on the Chef’s popular food truck of the same name in the Washington, D.C. area.
Pepe boasts Spanish cuisine, including hot and cold sandwiches on pan de cristal, sangria, and more. This is a counter-service restaurant, so you can dine inside Pepe or take your food to go as you go on the lookout for more celebs.
Monsieur Paul
Let’s head over to the parks for the next restaurant on our list! Make your way to EPCOT‘s France Pavilion and visit Monsieur Paul Restaurant for another celebrity chef experience.
Located upstairs from Chefs de France, Monsieur Paul offers the culture and flavors of France that renowned Chef Paul Bocuse is known for. Monsieur Paul replaced Bistro de Paris in 2013, which was the brainchild of three of France’s most decorated chefs: Paul Bocuse, Roger Verge, and the late Gaston Lenotre. Monsieur Paul offers a high-end, French-inspired prix-fixe menu as well as a beautiful view and excellent service.
The Polite Pig
Owned by local Orlando legends James, Julie, and Brian Petrakis, The Polite Pig in Disney Springs offers a variety of wood-fired smoked and grilled items, as well as drinks served on tap.
This modern barbecue joins the Petrakis family’s local line, including The Ravenous Pig and Cask & Larder, which focus on using local seasonal ingredients. Back in 2022, The Polite Pig was recognized by the Michelin Guide, so we’re serious when we say you need to visit at least once.
Terralina Crafted Italian
The Landing is home to yet another celebrity chef-owned restaurant, Terralina Crafted Italian.
James Beard Award winner Chef Tony Mantuano created Terralina’s menu and is joined by Executive Chef Claudio Daggio, who runs the kitchen. The restaurant is “reminiscent of an Italian home” inspired by Italy’s Lake District and includes an open kitchen and outdoor veranda bar. Take in the waterfront view and see if you can catch a glimpse of an incredibly renowned chef!
Frontera Cocina
Let’s stay at the Landing for some Mexican cuisine at the celebrity chef-headed Frontera Cocina!
Frontera Cocina is headed by celebrity Chef Rick Bayless, the host of National Public Television’s Mexico — One Plate at a Time. His résumé also includes winning Top Chef Masters and receiving the Julia Child award — not bad at all. Whether or not you see Chef Bayless, dining at Frontera Cocina and chowing down some tacos, hand-crafted tortas, fresh guacamole, and/or carnitas is never a bad idea.
Planet Hollywood
Guy Fieri makes another appearance over in Disney Springs’ West Side with Planet Hollywood.
Planet Hollywood underwent a refurbishment and reopened in early 2017 and has since stood out with a larger-than-life globe structure replete with neon lights, modeled to resemble an old-fashioned observatory. With some standard American fare with “over-the-top menu items like a fried L.A. Lasagna, Supernova Shakes, and a specialty sandwich menu,” celebrity Chef Guy Fieri once again stands out with a notable restaurant offering.
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant
Celebrity Chef Kevin Dundon created Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Disney Springs, and it’s a must-visit in our book!
This authentic Irish pub had its bars and furniture actually built in Ireland and offers live Irish music and dancing in addition to some pretty terrific food. Raglan Road has a contemporary Irish menu, and we definitely recommend trying traditional items like bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and bread pudding, as well as the creamy colcannon soup, beef stew with a hint of Guinness, and fish ‘n’ chips!
Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC
Hanging around the Landing at Disney Springs, Erin Mckenna’s Bakery NYC offers allergy-friendly, vegan baked goods.
Erin McKenna founded BabyCakes NYC and said of the bakery, “We focus on the underserved people with gluten, dairy, egg, and soy sensitivities, the heath-minded, and, most importantly, allergic kids who are often unable to indulge. Our goal is to make eating vegan and gluten-free fun and delicious.” This is a message we can definitely get behind!
The Cake Bake Shop
Finally, The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers isn’t quite like the other restaurants on our list, as Gwendolyn Rogers isn’t a celebrity chef but instead a film producer and actress. However, that hardly affects her celebrity status.
Now open on Disney World’s BoardWalk, The Cake Bake Shop serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring both sweet and savory menus. Gwendolyn Rogers’ passion for cooking and baking led her to create the first Cake Bake Shop with just herself and one employee, and now she has a location right here at Disney World! We’ve even seen here around the restaurant so it’s not totally impossible that you could, too!
