Okay, so you’ve done the BIG planning stuff for your Disney World trip. You’ve figured out where to stay, what tickets to get, and where you want to eat. But a big question still remains: how will you get there?
For many of us, the answer is that we’ll fly to Orlando International Airport to get to Disney World. Well, if you live in or near Boise or Sacramento, you have two NEW nonstop flights on Alaska Airlines to get to Orlando International Airport — which you may know is the airport closest to Disney World. SCORE!
Orlando International Airport just announced that Alaska Airlines has launched two nonstop routes from Boise, Idaho, and Sacramento, California. So if you fly out of those airports, you have a new option for getting to Orlando. Trust us…those nonstop flights are SO much better than having to connect at another airport, which can be stressful. And who wants to be stressed out on their Disney World vacation?
Of course, once you get to Orlando International Airport, you still need to figure out how to get from there TO Disney World (yep, there’s always that extra step). It’s pretty easy, though, and you have a few different options. You can take a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft or you can even rent a car (which is a good option if you plan on visiting places outside of Disney World). You can also use a shared shuttle service like Mears Connect.
Once you get to Disney World, getting around is even easier: Disney has a vast and FREE transportation system of buses, the Monorail, boats, and the Skyliner.
