Heads up, Disney Cruise Line fans! If you’ve got a cruise on the Disney Fantasy booked for later in 2025, we may have some bad news to share.
We recently received an email about a cruise we booked on the Disney Fantasy advising us that our cruise — along with several others — had been canceled so that the ship could receive some TLC. Select late 2025 sailings on the Disney Fantasy have been canceled, and we’ve got the details.
Disney Cruise Line is sending out emails to guests booked on select cruises on the Disney Fantasy ship advising them of cancelations for their late 2025 sailings.
“We are writing with important information about your Disney Fantasy sailing on [DATE]. Our Disney Cruise Line ships undergo a dry dock every few years for needed maintenance and refurbishment. Due to an unplanned change in the scheduled dry dock dates for the Disney Fantasy, your sailing is no longer available. As a result, your reservation will be cancelled [sic], and any funds applied to your reservation will be refunded back to the original form of payment.
We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause and welcome the opportunity to assist you in rescheduling your sailing around the same timeframe. ”
The email continued with information about a rescheduled sailing along with information about obtaining a 20% discount toward future cruises for the inconvenience. Keep in mind, that the offer is non-transferable, has no cash value, and is valid for only those who booked on our specific voyage. If you were booked on a Disney Fantasy cruise that has been canceled, make sure you check your email for information about rescheduling and any potential discounts toward future cruises.
Make sure you double-check the original form of payment you used to book the cruise, as that is where any funds that have already been applied to your reservation will be refunded (which means you can use them toward a future cruise with any potential discounts Disney may be offering!).
While this may be disappointing if you were looking forward to your vacation, it just means you get the opportunity to book another one! And, if you’re looking for some help with rebooking, check out our friends over at Small World Vacations!
