When visiting Disney’s BoardWalk, one thing you can’t miss is the enchanting AbracadaBar.
With its magician-inspired decor, cozy atmosphere, and mystical vibe, this spot has long been a fan favorite for grabbing a drink and soaking in the themed ambiance. But did you know they’ve added some new food items to their menu? We stopped by to try the latest offerings and see if AbracadaBar’s magic extended to their eats. Let’s dive in!
As we were saying, AbracadaBar’s cozy and mystical vibes are definitely a draw.
From exclusive cocktails to dishes, we spent an early evening in AbracadaBar to bring you the full scoop.
Atmosphere
AbracadaBar is an immersive experience right from the moment you step through the doors.
The dark, moody lighting, vintage posters of magicians, and subtle nods to classic illusions make it feel like you’ve wandered into a 1940s parlor with a magical twist.
It’s intimate yet lively, with a layout that’s perfect for a laid-back evening or a pre-dinner drink stop.
One thing to note: while the bar opens at 4 PM daily, the food menu doesn’t kick off until 5 PM. Food service runs until 10 PM, so plan accordingly if you’re hoping to snag some bites.
Menu
AbracadaBar’s menu feels like it is tailor-made to suit the magic-inspired vibes with all the handcrafted cocktails.
You’ll also find other options such as Champagne, Sparkling, Rosé, Red, and White Wines.
There are also other draft and beer selections available, as well as a handful of bar snacks.
Eats
AbracadaBar has recently introduced two new food items: the Bánh Mì Sliders and Lump Crab Fries. We paired these with their signature cocktail, Hoodunit’s Punch to round out the experience. Here’s how it all stacked up.
First up, let’s try the Bánh Mì Sliders for $14! These sliders feature pork belly, marinated cucumber, and sriracha aioli, all nestled into a soft bun. They come three to an order, making them a shareable option if you’re with friends.
The pork belly was flavorful and moist, with a slightly chewy texture that worked well with the crispness of the cucumbers. The sriracha aioli added a touch of heat, but don’t expect anything too spicy.
While the sliders were the better of the two food items we tried, they didn’t exactly blow us away. The flavors were pleasant but safe, and we couldn’t help but wish for something a little more exciting or inventive.
At $14, they’re reasonably priced for Disney standards, but we wouldn’t go out of our way to order them again.
The Lump Crab Fries are $17 and are a unique take on loaded fries, featuring wasabi aioli, doenjang (a soy-based paste), tobiko (fish roe), and crab meat. Sounds intriguing, right? Unfortunately, the execution fell flat.
The fries themselves were your standard Disney thin-cut fries, and while they’re perfectly fine on their own, they didn’t hold up well under the toppings. The wasabi aioli wasn’t as bold as we expected, and the doenjang added a touch of umami but lacked the punch we were hoping for. The tobiko added a fun texture with its little bursts of saltiness, but the crab meat was a letdown.
While there were hints of real crab flavor, the overall portion felt skimpy, and we couldn’t shake the impression that imitation crab might have made its way into the mix. For $17, we expected more.
Hoodunit’s Punch is one of AbracadaBar’s signature cocktails and costs $17.50. Its ingredient list is packed with tropical flavors: Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and coconut. It’s topped off with a maraschino cherry, which adds a classic touch.
If you’re a fan of fruity, rum-forward drinks, you’ll likely enjoy this one. The coconut and pineapple shine through, making it feel like a vacation in a glass. However, it leans heavily on its juice base, so the rum takes a backseat unless you give it a good stir.
It’s refreshing and tasty, but at $17.50, it’s not the most unique cocktail you’ll find on Disney property. If you’re craving something tropical, it’ll hit the spot – just don’t expect to be wowed.
Nosh or Not?
Spend an afternoon at AbracadaBar if…
- You love a well-themed bar with an intimate, cozy vibe.
- You’re in the mood for a classic cocktail with a touch of Disney magic.
- You’re looking for a unique spot to unwind before or after dinner.
We’d recommend another Disney World restaurant if…
- You’re hoping for a standout meal. The food doesn’t quite deliver.
- You want food service late at night. Remember, the kitchen closes at 10 PM.
- You have to make a long trek to get here for the food. There are so many great places to dine, that making the long haul for the food here may not be worth it.
Overall
AbracadaBar has always been about the atmosphere, and in that department, it still delivers. The theming is top-notch, and it’s a great spot to escape the crowds and soak in some Disney magic. However, the new food additions don’t quite live up to the bar’s enchanting ambiance. Both the Bánh Mì Sliders and Lump Crab Fries felt underwhelming, and while the Hoodunit’s Punch was enjoyable, it didn’t offer anything particularly memorable.
If you’re visiting AbracadaBar, our advice is to stick to their cocktail menu and treat it as a pre-dinner or post-park drinks destination. The magical setting is reason enough to pop in, but when it comes to the food, there’s better value to be found elsewhere at Disney’s BoardWalk.

This makes me sad. They used to have a tuna dish that was delicious. At least we can still go across the lake and get the prime rib sliders at Yacht Club!
