If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this year, it’s time for us to have a quick chat to get your ready for the trip.
As I’m sure you’re already aware, you’ve seen all the ride and construction updates coming to Disney World (the parks and resort), and now we want to make sure that when it comes to dining, that you’re ready for all the surprise updates. So, let’s talk about a couple of examples and what they could mean for your upcoming trip.
You’ve probably already noticed how Disney prices can make it feel like magic disappearing from your wallet, but this time, things are shrinking – literally. A new wave of “shrinkflation” has hit some Disney World restaurants, and it’s affecting what you’re getting for your money. Here’s what you need to know before your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
The Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar
If you’ve ever visited Disney Springs, chances are you’ve spotted the Coca-Cola Store and its rooftop beverage bar, which is famous for its “Around The World Tray.” This tray is perfect for adventurous drinkers who want to sample Coca-Cola beverages from across the globe.
But this year, the tray is delivering a bit less soda magic for a higher price. The Around The World Tray used to include 16 sparkling and still beverages for $16. Now? The tray has been reduced to 14 beverages, and the price has actually gone up to $17. Meaning that you’re getting two fewer drinks for one more dollar.
We’re talking about less variety, fewer chances to explore international flavors, and less value overall. If the Around The World Tray was one of your go-to splurges in Disney Springs, this change might sting a little.
Columbia Harbor House’s Trio Platter
Over in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square, Columbia Harbor House is known for its coastal-inspired comfort food and satisfying platters. But if you’re a fan of the Trio Platter, you might want to brace yourself.
The Trio Platter, which used to feature a hearty portion of two pieces of fish, two chicken strips, three shrimp, and hushpuppies has been quietly revamped. The new version now includes just one piece of fish, one chicken strip, and three shrimp along with three hushpuppies.
What hasn’t changed? The price. That’s right, the new Trio Platter still costs $14.29, just like the old one, but with less meat. Whether you were a fan of the fish or just wanted a little more bang for your buck, the new portion might leave you feeling less than satisfied.
What Does This Mean for Your Disney Dining?
These are just two examples of a trend we’re seeing across Disney World restaurants, and it’s something you might want to keep an eye on during your visit. While these changes might seem small, they can add up, especially if you’re planning multiple meals or snacks throughout your trip — or if you’re planning to split meals. If you’re sticking to a budget or just want to maximize the value of your dining dollars, it’s worth paying close attention to menu descriptions and portion sizes before you order.
Amorette’s Patisserie
Not all the Disney dining news is bittersweet! Over at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, one of their fan-favorite treats has made a triumphant return: the Strawberry Cheesecake, and it’s better than ever.
This year’s version of the cheesecake is nothing short of stunning. It’s a New York-style cheesecake with a strawberry center, dipped in white chocolate, topped with a strawberry mousse stone, and finished with whipped cream and a chocolate garnish. For $9.25, it’s one of the prettiest (and tastiest) desserts you’ll find at Disney Springs.
The flavor is absolutely top-notch. The cheesecake is creamy, fresh, and beautifully baked, while the strawberry flavor shines in every bite. If you’re a cheesecake lover or just want a picture-perfect dessert to enjoy, this is a must-try.
As you plan your Disney World trip in 2025, keep in mind that the menus and portions you’ve grown familiar with might look a little different. But don’t let that discourage you! There’s still plenty of magic to be found in Disney dining.

The best buy for your money is still Biergarten. There is great food and entertainment. I think it’s around 44. It may be more by now. The food is absolutely delicious. This is one of the cheapest buffets.
