If you’re heading to Disney World in 2025, as you’re getting all your plans ready, you’re going to want to hear about the updates to the dining scene at Disney World.
From immersive new lounges to a brand-new Polynesian-inspired restaurant, and if you’re looking to save some money while still enjoying all the magical meals Disney has to offer, there are a lot of updates that we’ve gotta go over, so let’s dive right in!
Let’s dive into the three updates you need to know about Disney World restaurants in 2025.
Two Brand-New Lounges Are Set to Open
Disney is adding not one, but TWO new themed lounges to its parks, and honestly, we’re counting down the days.
Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge – Magic Kingdom
Set to open in late 2025, this lounge is bringing the world of swashbuckling adventure to Adventureland. Disney has teased that it’s not just a lounge – it’s an extension of the Pirates of the Caribbean story. Whether you’re a long-time fan of the classic attraction or just looking for a place to cool off, this will be an incredible spot for pirate fans of all ages.
But what makes this lounge really special? It’s the details. Disney has confirmed that Peg Leg Pete, the iconic Barker Bird from the attraction’s early days, will be making his grand return to welcome guests. Plus, expect plenty of “magical surprises,” a vibrant menu of food and drinks, and a “rambunctious watering hole” vibe perfect for those looking to embrace their inner buccaneer.
Spaceship Earth Lounge – EPCOT
Over at EPCOT, a Spaceship Earth-themed lounge is set to open in spring 2025. This sleek new space will be located right behind the attraction’s iconic sphere, in an area that once housed corporate lounges.
The design of this lounge draws inspiration from the iconic geodesic sphere itself, with metallic tones, rich textures, and a mysterious-yet-elegant vibe. The goal is to create a zen-like escape from the bustling park, where guests can enjoy a curated menu of culinary delights. While Disney hasn’t shared the full menu yet, they’ve hinted that the offerings will be specially crafted for this location, so get ready for some exclusive eats.
A New Restaurant at the Polynesian Village Resort
The Polynesian Village Resort is already known for its incredible dining options, but it’s gotten even better with the addition of the Wailulu Bar & Grill.
This casual, Polynesian-inspired spot is part of the new Island Tower and sits just steps from the Cove Pool. The setting is a dream. Picture stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon and even Cinderella Castle in the distance. But let’s be honest: the menu is what’s really got us excited.
From Sweet Potato Hummus to Spiced Ham Musubi, Sticky Pork Ribs to Poke Bowls, the menu is packed with unique flavors you won’t find anywhere else in Disney World. There’s even a signature Wayfinder Burger and a Dole Whip Sundae (because what’s a Disney World trip without DOLE Whip?).
The restaurant’s design brings the ocean indoors, with fish swimming overhead and booths made from reclaimed materials. And the vibes are immaculate. Whether you’re dining inside or grabbing a spot on the outdoor patio, this is one of Disney’s most Instagram-worthy dining locations yet.
Disney’s Free Dining Offer is Back (But Only for a Limited Time)
If you’ve been dreaming about saving a little cash on your next Disney trip, this is the update for you: Disney’s Free Dining Offer is back, but only for bookings made between January 2nd and February 10th, 2025.
Here’s how it works: when you book a non-discounted Disney vacation package (at least three nights) that includes a room at select Disney Resort hotels and a Park Hopper ticket, you’ll score a free Disney Dining Plan. The offer is valid for trips from May 27th to June 26th and July 7th to August 6th, 2025.
Now, if you’re not familiar with the Disney Dining Plan, it essentially lets you pre-pay for your meals, so you don’t have to think about costs while you’re enjoying your vacation. The free dining deal means you’ll get to eat at a variety of quick-service and table-service restaurants without adding extra to your budget (although gratuity isn’t included). Just keep in mind that to snag the free dining, your trip must include a non-discounted vacation package, so no stacking hotel discounts with this one.
