Despite being open for over a decade now, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train remains one of the most popular rides in all of Magic Kingdom.

It’s a family coaster fit for riders of almost all ages, and while kids especially love it, many adults do, too! However, there are a lot of Disney adults out there who wish certain aspects of the ride could be changed. We polled our team, full of Disney adults, and here are the three new rules they wish would be implemented on the attraction.
A Single Rider Line
While a single rider line would be potentially tough for this ride, seeing that each row seats only two people, so similar to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Hollywood Studios, it’s possible that it would often get backed up, Disney adults still REALLY wish there was a single rider line available for this ride.

It’s certainly popular enough, so we can only imagine how often it’d be used, BUT since it’s a family coaster, we could also see lots of families choosing to still wait in the regular standby line to all ride together. This would mean the single rider line would be busy, but hopefully not backed up nearly as bad as it could be.
Complimentary Earplugs
Hear us out — we love the interactive queue in this attraction…HOWEVER, when you’re stuck in the same spot in the queue and the people around you just keep spinning those barrels over, and over, and OVER again, that’s where we think some complimentary earplugs at the start of the attraction would be beneficial.
Interactive Elements
They don’t even have to be great quality! Just the soft foam ones that can easily be reused by the individual for later in the day (or just as easily thrown away), so it wouldn’t cost Disney a ton, but it could make the world of a difference for many guests. There’s nothing quite like finally getting to the front of the line but being so overstimulated from said line that you’re not even excited anymore.
The Choice of Non-Rocking Barrels
One of the coolest elements about the attraction is that the barrels you sit in for the attraction are free swinging, meaning that they move with the riders’ movements! We’ve seen guests purposefully swing their carts heavily to rock back and forth, and while that’s fun and totally allowed…it’s also why we’re begging for carts that DON’T swing back and forth.

Some of us get motion sick, y’all! The ride itself is already on the cusp of being too much for many, and having the potential scare of someone in your barrel wanting to swing you like there’s no tomorrow? Yeah, no thank you. Similar to how there are some cars on TRON Lightcycle / Run that are more friendly towards those with mobility issues, we think there should be at least ONE cart that you could wait for that doesn’t swing.

In the meantime, we’ll be hopping on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train whenever the line isn’t too long to enjoy it, and crossing our fingers that the single rider line will arrive sometime sooner rather than later. Stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney World news!

It would be nice if people didn’t throw their arms up when riding! You can’t see the person’s face behind you! I no longer buy memory maker because over half of the pics have someone’s arms over my friends and families faces!
Danielle is right about the arms in the air thing. A few years back I told my husband and son not to do that because the people behind would have their faces covered when it got to the photo. They both ignored me and put their arms up anyway. However, when we looked at the photo they had managed to cover their own faces with the angle of the camera. Serves them right.
As to the swinging action of the cars, I feel that reduces the feeling of motion sickness as you’re going with the flow.
