We are LESS than 100 days from the grand opening of Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe. And if you couldn’t tell, we are getting VERY excited about the opening.
Epic Universe will feature five themed lands with lots of new attractions, entertainment, shopping, and dining. Some of the lands include Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic.
Epic Universe officially opens on May 22nd, 2025, and the Universal app recently added it to its maps ahead of its grand opening. We have taken lots of time to explore these maps — and get even more excited about the opening. Not only can we plan our days out now, but the map also shows which attractions will have Single Rider lines available.
Single Rider lines can allow you to experience an attraction with a shorter wait, however, you will be split up from the rest of your party. The Single Rider line is used to fill seats. You won’t be able to request a particular seat or ride with your family, but you will likely have a shorter wait time than the regular line. However, depending on the length of the Single Rider line, you may have a similar or longer wait.
Let’s take a look at the attractions at Epic Universe that will have a Single Rider line. Of course, the availability of these lines is subject to change. And since Team Member previews are just beginning, we may see adjustments in the Single Rider options as testing continues. Currently, seven rides will be offering Single Rider lines:
- Stardust Racers
- Curse of the Werewolf
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
- Hiccup’s Wing Gliders
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
- Mine-Cart Madness
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
Single Rider lines are great if you are traveling solo or are okay with splitting up your group to experience the ride. It is important to note, that sometimes the Single Rider queue might skip parts of the experience (like pre-shows or rooms of the queue), so make sure to speak with Team Members outside the attraction if you are concerned about missing parts of the experience.
