Disney shared some behind-the-scenes looks at a few projects in the works at Disney World!
Park expansions, ride rethemes, and much more are coming to Disney World in the coming years, and Disney gave us a closer look at a few of those changes with some recent behind-the-scene updates!
Disney delivered three new looks at Disney World attractions and a new land, so without further ado, let’s round up these reveals and jump right in!
New Look at Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom
In January, Disney broke ground on its new Tropical Americas Land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We’ve started saying our goodbyes to DinoLand U.S.A. as it has begun its phased closure to make way for the new Tropical Americas-themed land. Behind the construction walls, Disney has already broken ground on the site.
Construction has officially begun on Pueblo Esperanza. Disney is moving forward with new attractions such as the first ride based on Encanto — which will take visitors on a boat ride inside the Madrigal family’s magical Casita — and a brand-new Indiana Jones ride. There will also be a brand new carousel.

A new attraction themed after the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Encanto” follows Antonio the day after he received his magical gift – the ability to communicate with animals and is situated in the new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The land’s opening timeline has yet to be announced, but DINOSAUR, one of the last DinoLand U.S.A. remnants, will remain open through 2025.

A Closer Look at Country Bear Musical Jamboree
Last year, Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom reopened after a lengthy closure to feature new songs, modern touches, and other upgrades, such as a new name — Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
Very recently, Walt Disney Imagineering shared a behind-the-scenes look at the latest version of the attraction.
For Women in Construction Week, Imagineering shared an Instagram video that introduced us to Megan, an associate construction manager and “certified Big Al fan” who helped with the facility work for Country Bear Musical Jamboree. The video took viewers on a tour of some of the finer details of the attraction.
We got a good look at the new lighting system, a closer view of the letters the project team wrote to Big Al, and a detailed description of what needs to be done to preserve an attraction before construction is done.

Disney Delivered a Sneak Peek of Test Track Transformation
We’ve been living in the dark for quite awhile regarding Test Track and its lengthy transformation. Well, Disney World must’ve felt our overabundance of anticipation and FINALLY gave us a closer look.
Also for Women in Construction Week, Disney released a new video teaser about the latest version of Test Track. The official Disney Imagineering Instagram account posted a short clip of a day in the life of a project engineer working on the ride with a caption that read, “Buckle up! 🚗💨 Join Carleigh, a Project Engineer, as she takes us through a day working on Test Track presented by @generalmotors! #WICweek
The video showed Carleigh as she worked on-site, attended meetings, and showed viewers a quick look of the attraction’s queue area and possible unloading area.
Work began on this project last June and the new version will “take inspiration” from World of Motion, the original EPCOT attraction that “took visitors on a time travel journey through the history of transportation”. This latest iteration will celebrate the “past, present, and future of automation.”
