We are losing our minds over here!
If you’ve been following along with all the latest updates on Epic Universe, the brand new park coming to Universal Orlando, then you know how amazing the How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk area looks, but what if we told you it’s about to become even cooler?
Check out this new preview of the Hiccup and Toothless meet-and-greet!
It looks like Toothless is very expressive, with his eyes opening and closing and his head moving. IT’S A REAL-LIFE DRAGON, PEOPLE!
The details on Toothless’s body look so amazing. From Toothless’s harness and claws to Hiccup’s leg and armor, we can’t wait to run up to meet them.
We know there’s going to be a few dragons roaming around Isle of Berk, but it gets even better. Universal confirmed that there will even be dragons FLYING OVER OUR HEADS.
Orlando local news station WESH spotted one of the dragon drones (a dro-gan?), which is decorated to look like Hookfang. These are planned to fly around the Isle of Berk, making the area even more immersive.

We’re so curious about which dragons we’ll see and how often they’ll be flying around, but we’re excited no matter what!

There are some pretty incredible rides and shows coming to the land, too, including Hiccup’s Wing Gliders. This will be a family thrill coaster where guests get a chance to try Hiccup’s newest glider contraption.
The Untrainable Dragon show will also debut with characters like Hiccup, Toothless, Gobber, and Astrid. The gang comes to life with musical numbers, breathtaking sets, and life-sized dragons soaring overhead!
Another ride will be called Fyre Drill, in which Ruffnut and Tuffnut take guests on a dragon-headed boat and blast water from cannons at flame-like targets. Your goal is to outscore and out-soak each other!
Dragon Racer’s Rally will allow new Vikings to practice aerobatic maneuvers and high-speed barrel rolls in the sky. Guests can control how “wild” or “mild” their experience is with heights reaching up to 67 feet in the air.
The last area is the Viking Training Camp, a fun playground for the littlest Vikings. There will be slides, climbing areas, and plenty of interactive areas.
We are so excited for the Isle of Berk to open on May 22nd. Stay up to date with everything happening at Epic Universe by following Disney Food Blog!
