Here’s an overview of what you can look forward to in April at Disney World!
Easter Displays
Easter is late this year on April 20th, but you can already start celebrating! The Grand Floridian Easter Egg display opened on March 18th and there are some themed treats for sale. Be sure to admire the incredible artwork on these eggs!
Starting on April 1st, Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort will also have displays. Head to the fourth floor of the Contemporary and the lobbies of both Beach and Yacht Club to see their amazing works of art!
Although it may not be worth going out of your way, we highly recommend checking these out if you’re at the hotels. Hey, you can even use it as an excuse to resort-hop if you need a break from the parks!

30th Anniversary of Blizzard Beach
Can you believe Blizzard Beach has been around for 30 years?! The water park opened in 1995 and on April 1st, it is throwing a huge celebration!
A DJ will play music for the whole water park to enjoy on a deck near Polar Pub, Mickey and Minnie will be greeting guests dressed in their winter attire throughout the day, you can participate in snowman bowling, and character-themed tubes will be available for floating down Cross Country Creek.
Can’t make it ON April 1st? No problem! Throughout the month of April, the park will have dance parties, anniversary food & beverage items around the park, and family-friendly games with fun prizes!
Blizzard Beach will close on May 1st for refurbishment and Typhoon Lagoon will reopen. Remember — Disney World hotel guests can get into the water park that is currently operating on their check-in day!

Springtime Menu STARTS at Farmers Feast
Most EPCOT festival booths debut their menus on the first day and keep them the same throughout the entirety of the festival. That’s why we love Farmers Feast at the Flower and Garden Festival — the menu rotates three times!
The festival kicked off on March 5th and ends on June 2nd. But on April 6th, the booth will debut its Springtime Menu! Take a look at what’s included:
- Grilled Peaches and Burrata with prosciutto, petite lettuce, micro mint, and sweet tea-lemon gastrique (New)
- Seared Pork Tenderloin with corn risotto featuring BEN’S ORIGINAL INTERNATIONAL GRAINS Arborio Rice and roasted red pepper sauce
- Warm Corn Cookie with sweet corn soft-serve, brûléed corn, lime zest, and white chocolate (New)

These menu items will be around until May 3rd — the next day it will change for the final time this year to the Summertime Menu. We’ve tried the Seared Pork Tenderloin before (check out our review here), but the other menu items are new this year. Stay tuned for our review here on DFB!

Jellyrolls CLOSES on Disney’s BoardWalk
In April, we’ll have to say goodbye to one of the most iconic spots in Disney World. Jellyrolls’ final day of operation on Disney’s BoardWalk is Saturday, April 19th…but this is not the end for this popular bar!
Jellyrolls shared, “After nearly thirty years on Disney’s Boardwalk, Jellyrolls is making a move! Come celebrate with us into the spring season and keep your eyes on our social media for exciting new updates!” There has not been an official announcement on its future just yet, but we’ll be the first to let you know!
If you’ve never been but have a Disney World trip before April 19th, we highly recommend stopping by. But don’t just take it from us — Esquire named Jellyrolls one of the best bars in America in 2023. It has become an icon on the BoardWalk over its 30-year run so say farewell before it shuts its doors in Disney World.
It’s Official, Jellyrolls Is Closing. But We Are Sharing Our Team’s Favorite Stories!
