When you’re in Disney World, you’re faced with an onslaught of different souvenirs. There’s apparel of all different kinds, tons of pins, magnets, water bottles, mugs — you name it, and it’s probably there!

That’s not even taking into account the special merchandise that arrives in the park for anniversaries, special events, after hours events, parties, and more. When you budget for your trip, you’re likely factoring in grabbing at least one souvenir, but how do you know what’s REALLY worth grabbing? We asked our readers on Facebook, some of whom are some pretty harsh Disney critics, what souvenirs they’ve grabbed before that have made it on their list of favorites, and some of their responses may surprise you.
Mugs
We saw multiple of our readers say that mugs, or specialty cups from some of their favorite spots, are souvenirs they adore and use very often. Reader Jim Beard said, “I got the Nautilus tiki mug at the Tiki Terrace last May. It was the only item that I planned to get, and it was the only item I left with. And I love it.”

This makes a lot of sense to us, especially if you’re someone who drinks coffee in the morning or just loves displaying your mugs. We find that the best souvenirs are the ones that you use most often, because each time you grab it, it reminds you of your trip. Therefore, if you use mugs a lot, this is a fantastic choice! If you want to grab one for yourself, but won’t be in the parks soon, there are tons that you can grab online!
Magnets
Lots of surfaces are magnetic in our houses — the fridge, dishwasher, microwave, our cars, etc., and one of the best ways to display your love of Disney, or other things, is by grabbing magnets and placing them where you can see them every day. Reader Jennifer Denty shared, “Fridge magnets from each resort I stay at. I have other more expensive souvenirs, but the small fridge magnets just spark joy each time I get something to eat/drink.”
Disneyland Hotel magnet
Imagine looking at the magnets that remind you of your beloved hotel stays each time you use the fridge, dishwasher, or microwave! Since they’re things you use pretty much every day, you’ll be reminded of the magic of Disney multiple times a day. Maybe you’ll choose to grab magnets from the parks you’ve gone to, or the special events you’ve visited. Whatever you choose, the magic will be right in front of you each day! Again, there are SO many magnets that you can grab online if you’re not in the parks soon — check them out!
Christmas Ornaments
While you only use Christmas ornaments one time each year (well, most people only use them one time a year, we do know people who keep up their trees year-round), we had some of our readers say they’ve never regretted buying a Christmas ornament for each trip they take.
Merry Menagerie Ornament
In fact, that’s exactly what Reader Caron Spears Tindoll said. She wrote, “I buy a Christmas ornament every trip! We have 7 I think.” How special it is to put up your tree each year and be reminded of your magical trips by just looking at the tree! It also may serve as a reminder for how long you have until your next trip, or perhaps it encourages you to keep going in “normal” life, because your next Disney trip could be coming soon!
