Disney World does its best to make safety a priority at its theme parks. However, even with all those safety precautions in place, injuries can still happen.
Now, you don’t often hear about most of these injuries that happen at Disney World’s theme parks because many are minor. Still, a report is released every quarter outlining any injuries that have been reported in Florida theme parks. Although we’re still only one quarter into 2026, Disney World only had two injuries on that report for the year so far. Let’s take a look at those.
Florida theme parks are expected to report incidents in which visitors are injured on rides and hospitalized for at least 24 hours. The report for the first quarter of 2026 reveals that just two Disney World rides had injuries reported during those three months (January 1st-March 31st, 2026).
The first report is from February, when a guest fell while getting off the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland. The 65-year-old guest injured her pelvis during that incident.
The second report is also from February, when a 40-year-old woman with a pre-existing condition injured her shoulder on Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
By comparison, other theme parks with injuries in 2026 include SeaWorld, which reported two injuries. Busch Gardens and LEGOLAND reported no injuries, while Universal Orlando reported eight.
Serious injuries are generally rare, but you’ll want to take steps for your own safety when you’re visiting the parks. Be sure to read all warning signs, check in with your body, pay attention to Cast Member instructions, and be cautious when you’re on a ride. There’s no way to prevent all injuries, but if you’re mindful, you can prevent many. Remember that ride rules are in place to keep you safe.
Also, if you do experience an injury on a ride, let a Cast Member know immediately, especially if you may need to seek medical care. If the injury is minor, you can find a First Aid station in each park where you’ll find trained nurses who can help.
We’ll keep you updated on more theme park news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
