Let’s set the scene. The sky begins to darken, the clouds roll in, and the most dreaded part of any Disney vacation happens: the rain starts to fall.
And oh no! Your shoes are wet, and they’ll be soggy for the rest of the day. Unless you check out our new favorite Disney essential!
They Might Look Silly, But These Waterproof Shoe Covers Work!
At first glance, we did not think that these shoe covers would work at all! We’ve seen people around the parks wearing some variation of this shoe cover, and we were always hesitant to believe they actually worked. However, after using them, we were shocked!
They actually did a great job of keeping our shoes dry! Of course, they still got a little wet, but that was only from water trickling into the small gap at the top. The rest of the cover did not let any water seep in, and our shoes were much drier than if we hadn’t used these covers.
All you have to do is keep these in your bag, and then when it starts to rain, just slip them right over your shoes! It’s super simple, and these covers don’t take up any room in your bag! If you grab these covers, we would also suggest going for the larger size because the zipper can cause a little discomfort if it’s too tight. So if you’re trying to choose between two sizes, maybe go for the bigger one!
Overall, we really think these are worth it for your Disney trip. With how much it rains in Florida, especially in the Summer, you won’t be able to avoid a downpour, and these are a great way to keep your feet dry and avoid having wet, smelly shoes for the rest of your trip.

Why are you embarrassed??? 50+ years ago, rubbers…as we called them…were quite common to be worn on a rainy day, to protect leather shoes and keep feet dry. They were more form fitting than these – no zipper, you had to pull them on – and you could feel the difference while walking, but they did the trick!
Just ordered the shoe covers. Looks like a great idea.
My daughter and I wear crocks; my son-in-law wears Tevas. We never have soggy shoes.
How do you not slide around in Crocs? If my feet get wet in them I’m slip sliding all around, haha.
