Something new could be coming to the Disney universe, but it may not be what you think.
Disney Parks are currently seeing tons of construction projects — Villains Land, Piston Peak, the Avengers Campus expansion in Disney California Adventure, and so many more, but there’s another project potentially on the horizon that has nothing to do with physical construction projects. It could bring EVERYTHING Disney to one place, right at your fingertips — here’s what we know.
It’s now being reported that Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro is potentially exploring a “super app” that would combine Disney+ with park, cruise, and retail apps. It would allow users to purchase tickets, shop, play, and stream Disney content all in a single app.

According to Bloomberg, Disney leadership in the company is discussing how to combine all of Disney’s various apps into one place, to make the experience easier and more user-friendly for customers. People familiar with the matter have said that the app would allow guests to book park tickets, buy merchandise, play games, and watch movies, all in one place.
Now, would the app be able to handle so much happening at one time? Well, that remains to be seen. Reportedly, the idea behind this is to really make things easier for Disney guests, which is what Josh D’Amaro is heavily focusing on. The app would combine the capabilities of the Disneyland app, My Disney Experience app, and/or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator apps with Disney+.
There’s not much known about the potential app at this time, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news so you know what to expect.

My Disney Experience is already loaded with “features” that I don’t use. Instead of one super complicated app that tries to do it all how about smaller, simpler apps that cater to specific needs? I don’t shop or watch movies on my phone so why would I need to wade through menus for those activities?
Hi AJ, I think it’s a great idea. I was just involved in a survey regarding this topic and the questions were very interesting. I would love to be able to have everything under one app.
I am a huge fan of all things Disney… except Disney IT. It always seems to cause problems when I need it to work most. DCL check-in, dining reservations, anytime the issue feels time sensitive, Disney IT does its best to let me down.
Rather than an all-in-one single point of failure, I’d prefer they focus on cleaning up the apps they currently have.
