Disney Shares FIRST LOOK at the Preshow for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Everyone, calm down, it’s ALMOST time to rock ‘n’ roll once more!

We are just days away from the opening of Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets on May 26th! Disney has been teasing us with first looks, merchandise sneak peeks, and new snacks to help hold us over until the big day. Now, we just got a FIRST LOOK inside the attraction’s preshow, and we are thrilled to be VIPs once again!

Did you hear that loud scream? Yeah, that was me because Disney just gave us a sneak peek inside the brand-new preshow coming to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! It starts with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem practicing their hit song “Can You Picture That?” in the recording studio.

Stage manager Scooter then welcomes the VIP tour group (THAT’S US!!) before telling Kermit that “The mayhem will be there,” referring to their big concert later that day. He does secretly say to himself that he has no idea how he’s going to get them there, though.

Then there’s an explosion in the room, and Beaker flies in, smacking into the glass! Poor Scooter has had enough, and he passes out! You can see the full sneak peek here.

If you thought I was excited before this moment, I am now sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation for this ride! I seriously can’t wait to see the full preshow when the ride opens in just a few days. Behind Scooter, you can see a video feed into different recording booths with several celebrity names like Kelly Clarkson, Def Leppard, and more. This is extra cool because these artists are featured on the ride’s soundtrack!

Disney previously confirmed you will be able to hear several songs on the ride, including:

Song 2 – The Electric Mayhem
Born To Be Wild – The Electric Mayhem ft. Camilla the Chicken
Love Rollercoaster – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
Walking on Sunshine – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson

The story of the ride will follow you as you’re about to be treated to a VIP tour of G-Force Records, which is under new management by The Muppets! Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, is in charge, and the studio has gotten a makeover. On the same day as your tour, the Electric Mayhem is about to headline their biggest Hollywood concert ever… but they’re WAY too busy groovin’ inside G-Force!

Because they’re the Muppets, chaos ensues, and it’s now up to Kermit, Miss Piggy, and more pals from the Muppets to find a way to get Electric Mayhem to the concert! This preview is exactly what I needed before heading into the weekend. I can’t wait to see more of what this new attraction has to offer once it’s finally time to rock with the Muppets!
