Once again, runDisney invites you to a nighttime race that takes place during the 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Our favorite time of the year!
This year’s race weekend is November 7-8, 2014!
Pre-Race Taste Party
This year, the weekend kicks off again with a Pre-Race Taste Party on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.! The party takes place at the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where guests can relax before the big race.
The Pre-Race Taste will feature:
- early entry into Disney’s Hollywood Studios at 6:00 p.m.;
- a private party at Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show;
- four tastes from the Epcot Food & Wine Festival;
- one “signature sip” drink coupon;
- cash bar;
- and Disney character meet & greets.
Tickets will be $79 (ages 3 and up). Children under 3 do not need a ticket.
Half Marathon and Finish Line Party
Join the ultimate runners night out as you race a half marathon through three Disney Theme Parks. Throughout your journey, you’ll pass entertainment and characters. Imagine running a race that circles the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, cruises down the Streets of America underneath the Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and finishes near Spaceship Earth at Epcot.
Then, the party gets started after you cross the finish line! Celebrate your achievement at the Finish Line Party – an exclusive, after-hours event! While riding some of Epcot’s popular attractions, you’ll get to show off your medal! Indulge at over 25 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival food and beverage kiosks.
Entrance to the party is included in your race registration. Friends and family cheering you on can join in the after-hours fun by purchasing a Finish Line Party ticket!

I’m running! (Or rather, shuffle-plodding) I’m going to party (and eat) all night until 4 AM. A few hours later, I’m onboard the Magic for a Caribbean Cruise that will definitely include a good massage. Running 13.1 miles permits me to eat for 7 days guilt free, right?
Ashley says
I registered yesterday!! I can start carb loading now right?
Shavon says
Yay! Im running my Third runDisney Event! Also my husband and I are taking our first “adults only” trip for Food and Wine Festival for the whole week before the Half marathon!
Heather says
I will be there! Third year in a row. 🙂
laurie says

Kelly says
Hubby and I are registered! This will be our 4th runDisney event, but our first-EVER Half Marathon.
Jane says
Sounds like many people attend this event. It must be one great time.
Ashley B says
I’ve only run 1 5K in my life and have a secret dream to run a half marathon. There would be no other place to do it but Disney World. Is it realistic, though, for this 37 year old mother of 2 who isn’t really a “runner” to be able to complete 13.1 miles? That seems like sooo far!
Shavon says
Ashley B. DO NOT SELL YOURSELF SHORT! You can totally do it!
Amy says
Ashley B. – You’re “secret dream” is no secret anymore! You can totally do this! Believe me when I say I’m no “real” runner, either, and I’ll be 42 by the time the Wine and Dine comes around. If you follow the Gallaway program at rundisney.com, and just plug away run/walking, you will definitely finish. I’m not a super-experienced runner, but I’ve done a couple of the Disney events, and there is so much entertainment and fun built into the races, the miles will go by without a problem. Come on, Ashley – DO IT!!! As Walt Disney said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” and you’ve already admitted you’ve had the “dream.” You’re halfway there!
Robin says
We signed up for the Wine & Dine Half and we are considering the pre-race taste the night before. It is pretty pricey and I am sure we can get a better meal outside the park HOWEVER, I am now drinking the Disney Kool-Aid and I t looks like it might be fun. If anyone has any experience with this please share your thoughts
Betsy says
My granddaughters and I do the Disney runs together and I will be celebrating my 60th b day by running the Wine and Dine Half so if I can do it anyone can! See you there!
