Happy Thanksgiving!
With Autumn waning, and the Winter Holidays just around the corner, we couldn’t resist offering you one last beautiful, delicious look at this colorful season.
Fortunately, a trip to The Mara provided a couple of great options to celebrate the season.
Autumn Chocolate Pecan Tart
Having enjoyed lunch in the Parks, I decided to drop by The Mara and see what was new in the pastry case. I was excited to see lots of Fall colors and flavors! The first sweet that caught my eye was this Autumn-Themed Chocolate Pecan Tart.
The bold colors of the Chocolate Garnish were the perfect complement for the season. And I was intrigued by the obvious color in the Whipped Cream that topped the Tart.
Cutting into the Tart, it was obvious that this was a rich, moist pecan pie filling — nothing dry about this!
And the cinnamon-y and buttery flavors were perfect together. I think the whipped cream was studded with cinnamon, but I can’t be sure!
But this one is definitely super sweet — I recommend grabbing a carton of milk when you go through the line, too!
Pumpkin Cheesecake
But I wasn’t finished indulging. It was time for some serious Pumpkin Cheesecake!
The little individual cups are just like the ones we often find in the Parks. We’ve enjoyed a Strawberry Cheesecake and chocolate cake in a similar format.
But the really eye-catching feature here, once again, is the garnish. Check out the intricate Chocolate Transfer detail on the White Chocolate Leaf.
Cut into the cake, and you find a good representation of Cheesecake Texture — not too dry, and not too moist. Really, if you like cheesecake, don’t be afraid to give it a try at Disney. They do a uniformly good job of this dessert favorite.
The Spice was just right and the hint of Pumpkin wasn’t overpowering.
All in all, it was a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving a few days early!
Really, is there anything more delightful at Disney than fun seasonal treats? I love finding new things every single time I visit!
Now I want to hear from you! Which treat says Thanksgiving the loudest to you — Pecan Pie or Pumpkin Cheesecake? Let’s hear your favorite in the comments below!

I agree, A.J., I love all of the DFB’s Holiday and seasonal treat articles. I make both homemade pumpkin cheesecake (Paula Dean’s recipe Mmmm!) and pecan pie, but as much as I adore chocolate, I’ve never thought about chocolate pecan pie. I definitely have to do some thinking about it! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of the other bloggers and readers.

I tried both last week and thought they were both really good.
