One of the shops you can find on just about every “Main Street USA” in the world is an ice cream parlor, and the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom is one of the best.
Atmosphere
Many of us have a magical memory that begins with being lured into the parlor by that delicious (and occasionally piped in) smell of fresh waffle cones! Located at the end of Main Street, just before the castle hub and right next to the Plaza Restaurant, the Ice Cream Parlor is the perfect place to get dessert after a hot dog at Casey’s Corner!
Offering ice cream cones (Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, and No Sugar Added Raspberry Sorbet), ice cream floats, Mickey Mouse cones (with chocolate cookies for the ears!), and the famous Plaza Sundae, the parlor has something for everyone.
If you have a special dietary concern, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor offers Tofutti and Rice Dream, non-fat soft serve ice cream, and No Sugar Added Butter Pecan (sweetened with sucralose).
Ordering is easy — just head into the parlor, wait in the (sometimes long!) line, and order your choices from the cashiers. Pick up your snacks from the counter, and head outside to seating with the best view in the Magic Kingodm! In my opinion, the worst time to visit the parlor is right before or after a parade or a fireworks show — it’s usually mobbed!
Eats
Of course, I had to sample the famous Plaza Sundae! Vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and cherries — all in one of those delicious waffle bowls. My advice: order this one to share!
What’s your favorite thing to order at the Ice Cream Parlor?

I usually get cookies and cream, but everything I’ve ever ordered here is great!
Here’s my tip for getting ice cream here: unless you’re dead set on a cone, order yours in a cup. That way, if it’s an especially hot day, the ice cream won’t drip down the cone when it begins to melt, but instead stay in the cup.

Tim, or you could just go with the cone and ride Splash a few times with your hand in the air.

It is our family tradition to stop by the ice cream store as we leave MK. We usually each get a cone and then head for the gate.

I love mint chocolate chip, always delish!
