The 2015 Chocolate Easter Egg Display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort isn’t the only sure sign of spring around here these days! Easter treats have been “hopping” up everywhere around Disney World Resort to celebrate this weekend’s holiday — not to mention the remainder of the Spring Break season through the end of next week.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a holiday at Disney World without all sorts of specialty cupcakes, and Easter is no egg-ception. (I. Can’t. Stop. Doing. That!). At Epcot, a Chocolate Cupcake with marshmallow filling and marshmallow buttercream frosting can be found at Fountain View from now through April 11th, and at Sunshine Seasons for a very limited run on April 4th and 5th.
This beauty of a Carrot Cake Cupcake topped with a mini Bunny Macaron will be at the Contemporary Resort only through April 5th! The inside has a pineapple-coconut filling and it’s all topped with white chocolate buttercream frosting along with toasted coconut and — hooray! — jelly beans!
While there, be sure to check out the Contemporary Resort’s display of Chocolate Bunnies and decorated Easter Eggs presented by the Resort’s pastry chefs on the fourth floor!
BoardWalk Bakery boasts its own Easter Cupcake: vanilla cake filled with raspberry panna cotta, topped off with a coconut nest filled with jelly beans.
And, of course, you can check out spots at
the Magic Kingdom such as Main Street Confectionery and Big Top Treats for their version of a Carrot Cake Cupcake with Cream Cheese Icing, complete with an icing “carrot” on top. Also available will be a vanilla cupcake with a chocolate icing nest filled with malted milk eggs. These will be available through April 11th.
A couple of Table Service restaurants will be operating on extended hours for the busy season. Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge will be open from 7:30 am – 2 pm on Easter Sunday, April 5th.
As an added bonus for Boma guests, there will be a table of sweets available for takeaway! Guests will be permitted to fill a small box with treats like chocolate peanut butter eggs, jelly beans, and mini chocolate treats.
1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian is offering the 1900 Park Fare Brunch for daily booking from 1 – 3 pm through April 5th. Please note: Disney characters are not attending the brunch.
Returning to Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village will convert the Palace Library into the “Library Lounge,” from 4 pm – midnight throughout the busy spring break season. Appetizers and cocktails from Sanaa will be available for purchase.
Apparently, Animal Kingdom Lodge is THE place to be for spring break… Maji Pool Bar will be hosting a cookout! Taking place now through April 12th, guests can enjoy poolside eats like burgers (beef, veggie, or chicken) and bratwurst.
The cookout will happen — weather permitting — daily from 11 am until 6 pm.
Whew! The fun never stops around here! No matter what your spring celebration holds, we hope it’s a good one!
Will you be enjoying any of this season’s specialties? Please let us know with a comment!
