SUPER BUMMED that you can no longer get a Dole Whip Float with Vanilla ice cream at Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle?

Believe me, I feel your pain (though, for me, it’s the option for Orange Swirl that I miss).
Well, one of our clever DFB Readers, Farley N., came up with a way to get that pineapple/vanilla combo at the park, and kindly shared the strategy with us on our DFB Facebook Page:
“When I learned they got rid of the vanilla option, instead of crying and stomping my feet (which is what I wanted to do) I went to Aloha Isle and ordered 2 Pineapple juices and then went over to Sunshine Tree Terrace and ordered 4 vanilla ice creams (in large drinking cups) and then combined. The guy at Aloha Isle was impressed. LOL.”

Pineapple and Vanilla Dole Whip Float Hack!
Not bad! This is a great tactic for getting that tart-and-creamy vanilla and pineapple blend if you aren’t able to take time from your Magic Kingdom touring to head over to Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Village Resort (that’s the only spot where you can still get a pineapple-vanilla swirl, or the vanilla + pineapple juice float).
We’re still hopeful that the powers-that-be might read our pleas and bring back vanilla (and my vote for orange!) swirl options to Aloha Isle. But in the meantime, this idea ranks right there up with our Jungle Juice Float! Thanks so much for the great Snack Hack, Farley!

That orange dole whip was bae… so sad it’s gone! Luckily the vanilla dole whip is still available at Pineapple Lanai 🙂
oh! I didn’t realize they got rid of it! We just had one last month. eek! Crossing fingers for a comeback.
We were just there over the weekend and were SO BUMMED they got rid of the vanilla. 🙁 So, we bought a pineapple flavored dole whip, but it’s just not the same. No longer on my list of must do snacks. Bring back the vanilla!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! This is terrible news!! I hope they realize how wrong this is and bring back vanilla for the floats!!!
That is so sad, why does Disney always change things loyal fans love?! We will be writing them. I love this innovative option though, very clever!
When I went to the parks in January they would NOT put the vanilla soft serve in a drink cup. They put it in the regular ice cream cup and gave us an empty drink cup on the side. Just an extra step to make the entire thing more frustrating. Also, I found that the vanilla from Sunshine Tree Terrace didn’t seem to have exactly the same flavor as the vanilla that used to be at Aloha Isle. I’ll stick to getting my floats at the Polynesian.
