Late last year, information began to surface regarding 21 Royal Street, a private dining venue available to members of the exclusive Club 33 at Disneyland. There was some chatter, however, that 21 Royal Street might be available to the public, and not just Club members.
It now appears that this, indeed, is the case. According to OC Weekly, Club 33 members received correspondence from Disney with the following information regarding 21 Royal Street:
“After nearly 50 years, the space Walt and Lillian originally envisioned as a private dining room overlooking the Rivers of America will finally serve as it was first intended. 21 Royal Street at Disneyland Dream Suite will immerse guests in an intimate and signature dining experience unlike any other.”
OCWeekly also included information stating that “the public will not be allowed unless no member has booked it,” as well as the following information regarding private dining at 21 Royal Street. Guests may book one of two dining experiences:
Private Dining offers a signature five-course dining experience for up to 14 guests hosted by the culinary teams of 21 Royal and Club 33.
The Disneyland Dream Suite Premier Experience presents a “historical and culinary journey that pays tribute to Walt Disney’s legacy of storytelling and artistry.” Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are served to the party (also a 14 guest maximum) as they learn about the spot that would have served as Walt and his wife Lillian’s home. This precedes a seven-course Chef’s Tasting menu. After dinner, guests gather on the balcony of the Disneyland Dream Suite for coffee and drinks.
Wine pairing is not included in the price of the experiences, and the venue charge will be waived for members of Club 33.

I’m wondering what exactly, “the public will not be allowed unless no member has booked it,” means. I can’t imagine this will be an attainable experience for the general public if, say, reservations are held for Club 33 members until the day before. Will it be a mad dash to town hall each morning to see who can book the room the day of?

When is this taking place? Oh when, oh when!
I agree with the above comment about the mad dash at town hall. I’ve often wondered, if you just go and say, “I’ve got x amount of money, can I get in just for today?” if that would happen. Ah, ONE DAY!
