Looking for a reason to make the trek back into the depths of Disneyland’s Critter Country? Don’t let those construction tarps fool you, there’s actually quite a good reason to head to Hungry Bear!
Churro. Funnel. Cake.
I know we’ve featured quite a few of Disneyland’s funnel cakes here on the blog, and I know each one has been “my favorite,” but this one, I promise, it the best yet. That is if you are a churro fan.
The funnel cake is made to order. It comes out piping hot topped with cinnamon, sugar, caramel and a heap of Mickey shaped whipped cream. It’s exactly like eating a pile of churros covered in gooey caramel. Heavenly. Look at the cinnamon sugary goodness close up. It’s beautiful.
My boys don’t usually go for funnel cake; always churros. But… since this was like a churro/funnel cake hybrid situation, they were down. And by down, I mean they (ok, we) devoured it in minutes. I can say that is the first time the three of us actually finished an entire Disneyland funnel cake.
I know the churro funnel cake is seasonal, but I hear it may around for a bit. I highly recommend heading over to Hungry Bear and getting one while you can. It’s $6.49 and worth every penny.

Before the tarps Hungry Bear was always a fun and interesting place to visit for eating and relaxing now its just not nearly and good.
We’ve decided to just stay away while the tarps are up…
Heather Sievers says
Richard – I agree it’s a much nicer atmosphere without the tarps, but I’ll keep visiting regardless!

You say “around for a bit”. Have you heard rumors of it being around a little longer? I heard it was gone at the end of March.
Heather Sievers says
Becky – I don’t have any kind of confirmation with a specific date, but when I had this in February, I was told it would be there longer than the end of the month.

Fingers and toes crossed that they still have it at the end of April!! I REALLY wanted to try it when I was there last week and then completely forgot until right before they closed. I’m keeping this on my list for next month just in case!! It looks soooo good!

Michele – Mine are crossed for you too! It’s SO good!
