It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland… and a new flavor of Mickey Beignets has come along for the season!
Stop by the Mint Julep Bar to find the Beignets, currently sprinkled with Butterscotch-flavored sugar. (You’ll also see them on the menu at Cafe Orleans.)
Our Disneyland Correspondent, Heather Sievers, preferred the Butterscotch Beignets even over the Pumpkin Beignets from previous autumn offerings. And this is epic news, because girlfriend LOVES PUMPKIN.
To clarify, though, we’re referring to them as Butterscotch Beignets for short. They are actually the standard Mickey Beignets with butterscotch-flavored powdered sugar (as opposed to a flavored pastry), so that the butterscotch is not too overpowering.
But if you do want more of that butterscotch flavor, simply dip the beignet back in the bag!
You could even follow Heather’s Pro Tip Bag Technique for adding extra powdered sugar. The bottom of the bags, of course, tend to have oodles of powdered sugar from the Beignets. And we don’t want to see it go to waste, now, do we? The thing is, the Beignets are hollow. Just break off an ear (sorry, Mickey!), and scoop that extra sugar right out of the bag…
…and into the Beignet for more butterscotch goodness!

I feel like the obvious next step here is to get pumpkin beignets with butterscotch sugar!

I love butterscotch so I’d def like to try these. I think eating an ear and then scooping the sugar is a great idea!

We tried the butterscotch beignets today and agree that we like them better than the pumpkin ones. We too scooped up the butterscotch sugar in the warm Mickey ears!

These look AMAZING! Why oh why can’t they be made for the East coasters? Walt Disney World, are you listening?
