If you’ve been following all the news and updates for the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, then you’re likely well aware that ABC’s daytime cooking show, The Chew, is taping shows at Epcot during the Festival for the second year in a row. Due to Hurricane Matthew, however, the original taping schedule has been altered.
Tapings were originally scheduled for two shows on Wednesday, October 5th, two on Thursday, October 6th, and one on Friday, October 7th for a total of five shows set to air next week. But according to the Orlando Sentinel, tapings have been moved up to avoid the arrival of storms anticipated for later this week.
Two shows were instead taped yesterday, and this afternoon, a third show will be added at 5:15 pm. (The original taping times for today, 9:40 am and 1:40 pm, have and are moving forward as scheduled). The Thursday and Friday tapings have been cancelled.
Guests who were ticket holders for the original tapings have been notified via email. Yesterday’s tapings were moved to a first-come, first-served basis, so it is likely that the same scenario will take place during this afternoon’s additional 5:15 pm show.

What about chef events for Saturday and Sunday? Do we head over – or are they cancelled?
Who do we call?

Nan — Everything is in flux right now. I would give 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378) a call. As it stands, normal operations should resume on Saturday, but we’re all still waiting to see what Hurricane Matthew is going to do.
