The more weeks up add the less special it becomes.

I’m getting to hate the Food & Wine Festival. Can we say…crowds, crowds, and more crowds! Gone are the days when the Fall was the best time to go to avoid the lines.
Cheryl says
I understand that it might seem really early but if it help cut down on the crowds it would be nice. Yet on the other hand it doesn’t make it as special. What are your thoughts?
Leslie says
I have mixed feelings on this. We’re booked for early September (as usual) to avoid crowds. I’ve always been intrigued by Food and Wine, but have never been. I’m excited that it will be there (especially since we just happen to be booked at the Boardwalk this time), but now I’m a little concerned that the crowds won’t be so light.
Mark says
Actually we enjoyed the Festival more this year than the past couple Festivals. There will not be any crowds on Monday thru Thursday of the first 3 or 4 weeks of next year’s Festival. The first full week was pretty empty this year. Two extra weeks of culinary demos sounds great. Now if they’d only bring back the French Regional lunches and the lunches at Canada.
Kevin says
As Mark says, the crowds are not bad Monday thru Thursday, and at the same time Pandora will be open in Animal Kingdom which should help spread out the crowds. I never understand the issue that people have with Food and Wine. I go every year and have never experienced rowdy drunk people or unmanageable crowds. Though I have experienced incredible cuisine.

I enjoyed the festival more so this year than the previous two times I have gone. We were there during the Election week: Sunday to Monday, and only had issues only on that Wednesday night after. But, from Monday to Wednesday it was really not that crowded and during the day on Thursday and Friday it was still pretty relaxed and bearable. In 2017, we are looking towards going during the week days from Monday to Wednesday, then we will visit other parks from Thursday to Sunday.

We stopped going two years ago…. TOO expensive and TOO crowded. I enjoy the cuisine…. They are great, but for the price and making a long line to just enjoy a little taste…. I rather go to a fancy restaurant to drop my money on……
Tracy says
We love the Food and Wine Festival. But we really missed the premium package that had been offered in 2014 and 2015. Monday thru Wednesday are not as crowded. We always go at the same time the Swan and Dolphin Food Classic is going on. This year I will be there!!

I’m actually excited by this. I had planned my trip this year to be the first week that the festival was last year but looking back it had always started on Wednesday, so I was planning 2 days in a row at EPCOT. But now that it’s starting in August instead, I can separate my two EPCOT days on my trip and do one at the beginning of the week and 1 at the end. Game changer. 🙂 I wonder if the crowds will still be lower in EPCOT in September or if more because the Food & Wine is starting earlier…
