I am going to disagree with you that there is no shortage of Mickey waffle irons out there. Over the years, I have looked at several options. The Disney Store used to offer one with a warning that it might lead to cancer! I finally ended up buying the one that you have linked to and it is satisfactory. But the waffles are so thin, they are almost pancakes. It cooks really fast which runs the risk of burning your waffles.
Additionally, the thickest spot is in the center of the ears. The waffles at the parks are the opposite. They are indented which allows the ears and face to be a repository for syrup. But with this waffle iron, you have extra thickness in the ears which makes timing really difficult. Leave your waffles in for too long (I’m talking seconds) and they will burn. Remove them too soon and the ears won’t be cooked all the way through. It’s a very delicate balance.

I have to agree with Lebeau. I have been searching for YEARS for a Mickey waffle iron that makes waffles with at least a vaguely similar shape as the ones in the parks. The only ones I can find online make what is essentially a pressed pancake. There’s no deep indentations at all. The waffles in the park are more like a Belgian waffle, with deep pockets.
If anyone happens to find an iron that doesn’t make the “pancake” style waffles, let me know. 😀
Regardless, it’s pretty cool that the mix is available now!

The waffle irons you are promoting really just make Mickey-shaped pancakes. There are no deep indentations like the ones in your photos from Disney parks. Hunt a little more and you might find some that really make waffles, but they aren’t the ones you’ve mentioned.
That said, I agree that the Golden Malted mix is wonderful. Now let’s ask Disney for some more REAL Mickey wafflers!

I just tried to order on Amazon and it says not available and not sure if they will restock. BUMMER!!!

This looks like the mini Mickeys but it’s a commercial iron so it’s a little expensive. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Commercial-mickey-waffle-maker-waffle-baker-Mickey-Mouse-Waffle-making-machine/32257426652.html?src=google&albslr=220332787&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&&albcp=1582410664&albag=59754279756&trgt=296904914040&crea=en32257426652&netw=u&device=t&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8_PfBRC3ARIsAOzJ2uogVtIY7aLGFPHO-d5oRp-mu-btuSEqxtiV5cleGKOY_Q19BIhC5EgaAooqEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

This makes waffles very close to park ones just a little thinner and 5 at a time.
