With all the excitement over the opening of Pandora — The World of AVATAR, crowds have increased all over the park.
To help feed the hungry masses, a temporary breakfast option has returned — just for the early summer — to Restaurantosaurus in Dinoland, U.S.A.
And if you are visiting Animal Kingdom now through June 10th, you are DEFINITELY going to want to know about the Dino-Sized Breakfast options, featuring Mickey Waffles complete with a Waffle Topping Bar! What?! I KNOW!!

Okay, so you could also choose a Yogurt Parfait, Fresh Fruit Cup or Cereal.

But WHYYYYY… when you’ve got a HUGE bevy of toppings for your Mickey Waffles (served with BACON!!)?!

Of course, there’s Maple Syrup. But why stop there when you’ve got Bananas Foster Sauce — just like the kind we all love (and MISS, as it’s currently under refurbishment) at Roaring Fork?!

The sauces are, indeed, some pretty sweet selections. But you can also take your already topped waffle OVER the top with some finishing touches like strawberries or chocolate chips.

Hot fudge on one, caramel on one and strawberry on the other! Well, maybe some extra strawberries since fruit at breakfast is good. Whipped cream would be good dairy!

OH MY GOD I NEED THIS!!!! But I’m not gonna be back in WDW till September 🙁 If it sticks around I’m definitely going there. They should add this as a permanent option and bring it to Disneyland as well!
This definitely needs to stick around permanently, it sounds awesome! We find the toppings-bar meals make things much more shareable and thus a lot more affordable (per person) than similar entrees elsewhere in the parks. I hope this sticks around!! 🙂
Wow strawberries and whip cream for sure. Wish this was a permanent thing. Would love to have waffles then ride the Safari
Mickey waffles are my favorite breakfast meal at Disney. Love the idea of having them available at a QS location in AK (maybe it should be expanded to the other theme parks as well 🙂 ) and being able to top my waffle with bananas and Mickey sprinkles is so appealing. Sadly, my upcoming vacation won’t start until 15 August so I’ll miss this opportunity; here’s hoping that the availability of this option will be extended indefinitely.
Mickey, since you’re the boss – Please use some magic and pixie dust and convince the decision-makers that this option should be extended until after Labor Day, at the least; but, a much better idea would be to make this permanent. AK really needs a QS breakfast offering, especially since Pizzafari no longer serves breakfast.
In the meantime, looking forward to reviews from anyone who is lucky to sample this treat.
OH my gosh I want this so bad. I will not be there until July 1st. I so so so so hope they keep it around until then. I have been so bummed that I cant go to roaring fork for the chocolate chip waffles due to the refurb. this would be so great. Please Disney gods keep it around, Pretty please with mickey sprinkles on top??
Excuse me, where is this year round and at each park? I am known to select my buffets my Mickey Waffle topping selections. Another great choice for our true fill of waffles is Whispering Canyon.
