WAAAAAYYYY back in the day (ok, maybe not that way back, but still…) people could order free vacation planning DVDs from Disney. Imagine the excitement! I can remember when I’d order the free video (yep — they did these for, like, 20 years!), and I’d have to wait forever to get it in the mail. But immediately upon its arrival, I’d pop the video into my trusty ol’ VCR (then later, my trusty ol’ DVD player) and get to Disney daydreaming!

Of course, signing up for the free video entailed providing your address and email. This, however, did result in being put on an email list for potential discounts (like the elusive PIN CODE hotel discount, free dining, and more!). It was never guaranteed, but it was more of a possibility. After all, if Disney doesn’t know you’re there, how can they send you discount promotions?

In fact, that’s one reason why we continue to recommend that you register for an account on the Disney World website. Granted, if you are in the active planning stage for a Disney World vacation with a booked Resort hotel reservation, this is a required action. But even if you are still in the daydreaming-and-info-gathering phase, you may more easily become aware of any current or upcoming promotional offers right through your inbox.

Alas, Disney no longer sends out these free vacation planning videos. But that doesn’t mean that you no longer have a FREE Disney World vacation planning video resource! In fact, we just so happen to have one for you with our YouTube Channel: DFB Guide!
