It’s October in Magic Kingdom, and it’s a wonderful time to be here!
As the temps cool down (in the evenings, anyway) and the festive decorations go up, there’s even more to enjoy, like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Fall Finale of Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire!
What better way to say “I Was There” than with the…
New Starbucks “You Are Here” Mug
As it is with the other three Disney World parks, Magic Kingdom has its own newly redesigned Starbucks “You Are Here” Mug at the Main Street Bakery! (Yes. You’re Welcome. Now you have to buy all of the new ones, too.)
This Fantasyland celebration (Dumbo in flight! THE SWORD IN THE STONE!!) is pretty much as popular as all the others, but it’s not quite as in-demand as the new Magic Kingdom Starbucks Mickey Tumbler.
Two visits, and we haven’t spied it yet! They’re flying off the shelves! But you can check out the new Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios versions to get an idea.
Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Pumpkin
Are you aware that it’s Pumpkin Spice Season 😉 ? In case you missed our Disney World-wide Pumpkin Tour, let’s spend some time checking out ALL! THE! PUMPKIN! in Magic Kingdom, where Pumpkin Fudge has returned once again to the Main Street Confectionery case.
You won’t see it on the menu, but the new All-You-Care-to-Enjoy Milkshakes at Plaza Restaurant also include a PUMPKIN Shake!
This is in addition to the regulars as well as the current Flavor of the Month, Chocolate Hazelnut.
At Westward Ho, you can add Pumpkin Spice to your Cold Brew Coffee.
Or you can try the Pumpkin Creme Brûlée Cold Brew at Joffrey’s Revive in Tomorrowland!
Though it was originally intended only for guests at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we were excited to find the Mickey Pumpkin Waffle Sundae out all day at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments!
And a Candy Corn Sundae has appeared alongside the Candy Corn Soft Serve at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.
Featured Items of the Month
The Plaza Restaurant isn’t the only location offering a Flavor of the Month.
Pinocchio Village Haus has a new monthly rotating Featured Flatbread.
It’s kicking off with a BBQ Chicken Flatbread, topped with roasted chicken, sweet onions, and barbecue sauce.
Of course, Casey’s Corner has been featuring a Hot Dog of the Month all year.
October’s — or should I say OKTOBER’S — is a Beer-braised Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll with caramelized onions and whole grain mustard.
Casey’s is also serving up a new, adorable Baseball Brownie, just in time for the MLB Postseason.
It’s also the latest Magic Kingdom location to utilize Mobile Order, the pre-order and pre-pay process now offered at several Counter Service locations.
And since the lines at Casey’s are nearly as legendary as the hot dogs, this is welcome news! Check out all the latest restaurants offering Mobile Order here. This is going to come in SO handy during those crazy holiday busy times.
Goodies at Gaston’s
In another rather unexpected move, Gaston’s Tavern is now serving Fruit and Cheese Picnic Platters. This is nice and all, but I’d love to see the pork shank or that awesome pot roast stew back again as well.
Stop by Bonjour! Village Gifts next door to see the new Mrs. Potts and Chip tea set.
Say Aloha to Upside-Down Cake
Did you see that Aloha Isle added Pineapple Upside Down Cake topped with DOLE WHIP to the menu?
Oh, and even though the crazy cute Dole Whip Plush has been around for a while now, it’s been hard to find since everybody wants one! So to finally see it in it’s Adventureland home at Agrabah Bazaar was a fun find.
I know… just STOP with the CUTE already, right?
No? Well, if you insist… 😉
We’ll see you back here real soon!

Can’t believe that pumpkin waffle sundae is a snack credit, don’t want to wait until March for my next trip now!
Essie says
Krispie treats are always a favorite with me, as is MNSSHP! In also love the Mrs. Potts and Chip tea set. It would go so nicely with the cinnamon bread from Gaston’s!
Natalie says
I’m sorry, but is that a fly on the Casey’s Corner Baseball Brownie?
DFB Sarah says
Natalie: Maybe? Good thing it’s just the sign and not the real thing!
Steph says
I am heading soon, but I didn’t know the Starbucks tumblers were super popular. Any idea if the Epcot ones are also hard to grab??
Lisa says
We tried the featured bratwurst at Casey’s last week and it was really good. They were out of the pretzel roll though which would have better suited the brat. They substituted a regular roll which was too much bread.
This is a good option for sharing or for using a QS meal credit.
DFB Sarah says
Steph, we haven’t seen the Epcot mugs run out, so it appears they are well-stocked.
