We all reserved our movie tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi months ago. We’re finalizing our theories on what’s been happening with Luke Skywalker in the time leading up to Rey finding him on Ahch-To. Let’s see, what else do we need… Oh, I know! How about some Star Wars ICE CREAM?!
Well, Ample Hills Creamery — the Brooklyn-based ice creamery that opened its first location outside of New York on Disney’s BoardWalk — has got you covered! In partnership with Disney and Lucasfilm, Ample Hills Creamery launched three limited-edition flavors inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi!
According to amplehills.com, First Order will “showcase the monolithic, fierce power of The First Order, salted dark chocolate ice cream represents relentless villainy, while cocoa powder, bittersweet chocolate and a dash of powerful espresso reinforce the dark side.”
Resistance is “A celebration of the spirit and determination of the Resistance fighters who stand against the First Order,” noting that, “The Resistance is a brown sugar and vanilla bean ice cream with an assortment of mix-ins: passionate, fiery red-velvet ooey gooey butter cake, hard-edged toffee pieces and spirited, hopeful mini marshmallows.”
And finally, The Force: “Inspired by the harmony and peaceful nature of the Jedi, The Force illustrates the precarious balance between the dark and light side with sweet cream ice cream, swirled with rich chocolate fudge, and set against a galaxy of white and dark chocolate pearls.”
Ample Hills Creamery has confirmed via Twitter that their location on Disney World’s BoardWalk will be carrying the limited-edition flavors!
Select Whole Foods locations and retailers in the Northeast have already been carrying the flavors, and the Creamery also ships their ice cream nationwide via amplehills.com.
Again, these flavors are a limited-edition offering, so May The Force Be With You in your attempt to try the Last Jedi-inspired flavors!
