We’re kicking off the weekend with HUGE news… Disney World’s new TOY STORY LAND will open on June 30, 2018!!
Toy Story Land
As guests, we’ll all shrink down to the size of a toy when we enter this brand new land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Get ready to enjoy two new attractions (in addition to an expanded Toy Story Mania) when the Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers start dashing and swirling in June.
And gear up your appetite for dining at Woody’s Lunch Box, the land’s upcoming Counter Service location! Here are a few details (and some fun speculation) about what the menu will include!
I CAN’T WAIT!! It’s time to start planning your trip NOW, y’all!
BECAUSE…

I booked my trip to go in July about a month ago. Will this affect me in any way?
DFB Sarah says
Megan, you’ll be able to explore a brand new land, so that’s fun! And you can ride the two new rides or even eat at a brand new quick service spot! One might expect crowd levels at Hollywood Studios to be heavier than normal with the excitement, but keep your eyes peeled to see if you can book a Fastpass+ for the new ride(s) and mitigate those crowd levels. Have a great trip!
Karyn says
Any chance it could open up earlier? We are planning on going June 24-28th. Does that ever happen?
Veronica Shine says
We will be on property in Mid-June and then again in November. Actually I am glad to miss the June opening, as I am sure that crowds will swell. Hopefully, they will do a few soft openings for hotel guests as they did during the pre-opening of Pandora.

It looks cool but not really a game changer for me. I think we’ll wait until Star Wars and/or the gondolas are complete before our next trip.

Are you aware that Disney just increased prices this past Sunday? Are you saying they are about to increase again or are you talking about something other than tickets?
Essie says
I’m very excited about TSL! I even had a slinky dog when I was little! lol
DFB Sarah says
Karyn, Disney World does very often have “soft openings” in the days leading up to a grand opening, but these are not guaranteed and often have a limited entry. It’s worth watching for this in the days leading up to your trip (and asking around when you get there!). Good luck! Have a fabulous trip.
