A Star Wars Hotel opened on March 1, 2022 in Disney World! Guests at the completely immersive Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser “board a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them!”
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The final voyage for the Star Wars Hotel took place from September 28th-30th, 2023; the Galactic Starcruiser is now permanently closed. Here’s the statement a Disney spokesperson has released on the matter: “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is one of our most creative projects ever and has been praised by our guests and recognized for setting a new bar for innovation and immersive entertainment. This premium, boutique experience gave us the opportunity to try new things on a smaller scale of 100 rooms, and as we prepare for its final voyage, we will take what we’ve learned to create future experiences that can reach more of our guests and fans.”
We are keeping this page as a historical record of this unique experience, and will keep you posted on future Disney World endeavors such as this! In the meantime, for MORE Star Wars experiences in Disney World, CLICK HERE!
The experience is unlike any other Disney destination anywhere. In fact, Disney says of the Galactic Starcruiser, “This isn’t storytelling – it’s storyliving, where you’ll see, feel and live Star Wars in a whole new way.”
PLEASE NOTE: While we will not be sharing details when it comes to plotline stories and big surprises that may take place when you are visiting the Galactic Starcruiser, we are sharing lots of photos and details from inside the hotel. Please proceed with caution if you are looking for a 100% spoiler-free experience.

This all-new Resort experience offers a two-day, two-night itinerary, meaning that guests arrive and depart in the same time block (similar to a cruise). A wide range of activities and dining experiences in an immersive environment “on a galaxy far, far away” make this an experience like no other!
Disney has described the Galactic Starcruiser as: “part live immersive theater, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza, part real-life role-playing game—and yet so much more.”

You’ve got (LOTS OF) questions, and we’ve got ALL the answers!
But first, how does one board a Starcruiser, exactly? Read on…
Boarding The Halcyon
Guests become citizens of the galaxy immediately upon entry. First stop?
It’s check-in at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal!
Guests then enter a Launch Pod which brings them straight into space where they will dock at the Starcruiser to board the Halcyon of the Chandrila Star Line, known for its fleet of glamourous starcruisers of which the Halcyon is the jewel.
Guests can even see the Halcyon — a 100-cabin Corellian MPO-1400 model starcruiser built during “the romantic age of exploration” — through viewports as they approach!
Click HERE to learn more about the truly unique way passengers board the Halcyon!
Your journey officially begins as you board the Halcyon which is “known for its impeccable service and exotic destinations,” and has been hosting trips for centuries. (According to StarWars.com, the Halcyon’s passengers have included Padmé Amidala and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker who were hoping to travel in an inconspicuous manner during the Clone Wars, and newlyweds Leia Organa and Han Solo on their honeymoon.)
A ship muster shares what guests are about to see and experience.
Once onboard, guests stay in “well-appointed cabins, experience onboard dining, make a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, and more,” and from there, the “broader galactic story unfolds.”
Click HERE to check out what Chandrila Star Line Representative Endario Zinn has to say in a welcome transmission!
You see, not all is quiet in the greater galaxy, due to “unrest in certain parts” — not to mention unrest between the First Order and the Resistance…
But don’t you worry about that just yet. Let’s EXPLORE!!
Experiences and Areas Aboard the Halcyon
During your stay aboard the spaceship, there are opportunities to train with a lightsaber, interact with your favorite characters (and encounter new ones), and operate the ship’s defense systems!
Click HERE to explore the MAP of the Galactic Starcruiser!
The Atrium
Passengers gather — along with members of The Halcyon’s crew — in The Atrium.
You may even spot a familiar face or two from a galaxy (that’s no longer!) far, far away…
But that’s just the beginning…
The Bridge
A visit to The Bridge gives passengers the chance to train to navigate the Halcyon and operate its controls and defense systems (with guidance from the crew, of course). Guests are assigned to four different stations (systems, weapons, shields, loaders). From there, everyone rotates through each station during this 45-minute experience.
The Disney World website even shares that the skills you gain from the crew “may even come in handy should critical situations arise later in your voyage!”(If you don’t mind spoilers, you can read about the “critical situations” we experienced here!)
Could some of those levers start the jump to lightspeed? Well…
… in a word, YES!!!
The Engineering Deck
You may even be able to sneak into the Engineering Deck — typically reserved for The Halcyon’s crew only — and see for yourself how the ship works…
… IF you can FIND IT, that is! (PSSST... You didn’t hear it from us, but there’s actually a little door that goes from the Engineering Room to the brig! And that means you can break someone OUT of the brig through this door if you need to. We’re not saying this will definitely happen, but that knowledge might come in handy…)
This area has all kinds of buttons, levers, dials, and gears, and you can go to different stations to play with them. Sometimes it’s as simple as pulling a lever to set off some smoke or turn on lights. But other stations require you to solve more complex puzzles.
For example, we had to follow lines to see which letter in Aurebesh (the Star Wars written alphabet) was lighting up, then we combined the letters to crack a code.
Lightsaber Training Pod (!!!)
Oh, and if you’ve ever dreamed of wielding a LIGHTSABER (and who hasn’t?!?), the Galactic Starcruiser gives passengers the opportunity to train with one in the Lightsaber Training Pod!
Please Note: Guests must be at least 7 years old to participate in the Lightsaber Training activity.
There are 4 training stations built into the walls of the Lightsaber Training pod where guests can get in some target practice and show off their lightsaber skills (with help and guidance by a Saja first, of course). During the training rotation, guests have a chance to train with shields, as well.
We share EVERYTHING about the Lightsaber Training experience here!
Click HERE to see what Lightsaber Training is REALLY like!
Speaking of lightsabers… Guests who experience Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser are the first to see the incredible new lightsaber created by Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development in action.
Guests visiting the Star Wars Hotel can see characters like Rey wield this new, more realistic lightsaber, which is said to create “dramatic in-person moments previously only seen in films or shows.”
Find out about the brand NEW Lightsaber that guests at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser see FIRST!
Climate Simulator
The Starcruiser is equipped with a “climate simulator,” which is open for 24 hours a day. (This is good to know for passengers who may experience a bit of claustrophobia since there aren’t any windows — save for those that offer views into space.)
Click HERE to read more about the Climate Simulator!
Ann Morrow Johnson (executive producer and creative director of this project) shares that “It’s really amazing technology from the Star Wars world” that “exactly simulate the climate of the planet we’re visiting on your shore excursion” to Batuu.
Concerned about claustrophobia aboard the Halcyon? Click HERE.
Itinerary and Full Schedule
Disney has provided a Sample Itinerary showing when passengers might experience the various activities. (Simply click the image below to enlarge.) As you will see, the experience will include “Story Moments.” This means that depending on who you meet and interact with, your Star Wars story may change!
Take a closer look at the sample itinerary for the Galactic Starcruiser stay here!
Guests should plan to arrive in the afternoon between 1PM and 4PM, and will depart early on Day 3 around 10AM. The excursion to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is scheduled for Day 2 of the journey. (Guests will receive free Lightning Lane access to bypass the Standby lines to ride the two attractions in Galaxy’s Edge: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.)
Once all passengers are aboard the Starcruiser on Day 1, the adventure begins…
However, what starts with a welcome from the Halcyon’s Captain and Crew, changes quickly into a quest to help a very important member of the Star Wars universe. (If you’re okay with spoilers, go ahead and CLICK HERE!)
Additional items on the itinerary include Sabacc lessons and a Tournament, a Captain’s Reception, a Droid Racing Competition (which guests may enter with their own droid from Droit Depot in Galaxy’s Edge, or use one provided by the Starcruiser), and a one-hour “spectacular finale” before you head back to earth!
Passengers aboard the Starcruiser also have access to unique features in the Star Wars: Datapad (available through the Play Disney Parks app) to check the itinerary and even receive communications from the crew (and make your own choices and allegiances)!
Note that your personal itinerary will be available in the Datapad 30 days prior to your departure date.
We walk you through the entire schedule HERE, and are providing a look at some of the schedule highlights from our first voyage below.
Click HERE to see the FULL SCHEDULE for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!
DAY 1 SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
Before we begin, let’s note that schedules are subject to change (to that end, we’ve left the complete Sample Itinerary above for your viewing). The schedule highlights below are based on our first voyage aboard the Halcyon.
After arrival on Day 1 (any time from 1PM-4PM), things start off with a lunch buffet in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. Passengers are also given time to explore the ship during that window. Also in the afternoon is a Datapad Orientation and a Galactic Social.
At 4PM, is the mandatory Ship Muster, to meet the Captain and Cruise Director. All guests will be present at this event. Immediately following is the Captain’s Reception, then the first dinner service.
DAY 2 SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
Day 2 begins with a Breakfast Buffet in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. (Grab-and-go breakfast is also available.) Throughout the day from 8:10AM-4PM, transport ships depart to Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge).
Lunch is served anywhere from 11AM-4PM.
Passengers who opt to stay on the Halcyon can enjoy activities like Cantina Chronicles: “a unique tasting of exotic, exclusive non-alcoholic cocktails hosted by a knowledgeable mixologist who shares some fun, interesting, and even startling stories of each drink’s origins, ingredients, and careful preparation.”
At 12:45PM there is the option to sign up for the Droid Racing Tournament.
The afternoon also offers options like the Sabacc Tournament, the Loth-Cat Crew: Porg Protection Drill, and the Know Your Co-Pilot game.
Day 2’s evening includes dinner in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, followed by A Halcyon Starcruiser Celebration at 9:30PM.
On the schedule, this show is described as a “pyrotechnic display” featuring a “special musical soundtrack” (which just so happens to be the Main Title music from Star Wars).
TIP: We found the view of the celebration to be best from the ship’s Bridge.
Click HERE to find out how the Halcyon Starcruiser Celebration fireworks will (and won’t) SURPRISE you!
Afterward, guests may head back to the dining room for dessert!
DAY 3 — BREAKFAST AND DISEMBARKATION
On Day 3, disembarkation begins at 6AM and lasts until 9:45AM, where you’ll board a launch pod back to the terminal.
Breakfast is available that morning starting at 7AM, and you can either grab it to go or enjoy the buffet.
Click HERE to see the FULL SCHEDULE for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!
Now, if all of that looks like A LOT, that’s because IT IS. There are a LOT of activities going on constantly aboard the Halcyon. You may find a Sabacc lesson going on in one area, while another group is scheduled for bridge training, while another group is helping the First Order do some investigating, while characters are chatting with Gaya and friends — it can be a lot to take in!
Also keep in mind that your itinerary will also get some additional items added as you are sent and complete missions, so remember that schedules are subject to change.
YOUR Story Aboard the Halcyon
Once you board the Halcyon, you’ll have decisions to make. What kind of Star Wars story do YOU want to live out?
Are you going to channel your inner Dark Side by assisting the First Order or perhaps join the Resistance?
You might help smuggle characters onto the ship (or perhaps become one yourself), gain the trust of characters to help them with missions, and discover hidden areas of the starcruiser! You might even choose to change your own path by switching your allegiance during your experience!
Or perhaps you will “follow your connection to the Force.” No matter what you choose, remember this: YOUR actions aboard the Halcyon won’t only affect you, but may affect the Halcyon’s path, too, and even determine what happens next.
Click here to find out how YOUR actions may impact the entire Galactic Starcuiser!
While many of these opportunities may come to you through your in-person interactions with characters, they also present themselves through your Star Wars: Datapad available via the Play Disney Parks app. This will allow you receive messages and make choices that will have an effect on your adventure.
So, you’ll want to download the Play Disney Parks app — in addition to the My Disney Experience app — BEFORE your arrival aboard the Halcyon!
During our voyage, we were also provided with a phone to use for the datapad functions that are key to the character interactions and missions on the ship. However, please be aware that this might not always be provided.
But what if you’d prefer to experience everything without having to participate in the more interactive elements?
Disney allows you to hop in and out of the story as you want to. The company stated: “You can be as casual about this as you want or dive as deeply as you want to” and “There is no wrong way to experience Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!” Whatever matches your comfort level and desires is what YOU will be able to experience.
That said, we discuss how participation may affect your enjoyment level HERE.
Star Wars Characters
Yes, Rey will be aboard the Halcyon with you, along with other familiar characters as well as new ones!
You may also encounter the Starcruiser’s Captain, the ship’s mechanic, and more, including Gaya, the Twi’lek entertainer performing at the Crown of Corellia Dining Room.
In fact, some of these characters may need YOUR help on secret missions! (Though others may NOT have your best interests at heart, so beware…) In fact, why don’t we get to know a few of these crew members, shall we?
Captain Riyola Keevan started her career on the Halcyon 30 years ago as a quartermaster. According to StarWars.com, the Captain is a Pantoran who is a “strong and decisive leader who genuinely loves the Halcyon…and when the First Order comes calling, she will do whatever it takes to protect her passengers.”
You see, after meeting a certain princess-turned-General, the Captain began doing more work for the Resistance. But her loyalty does get tested… (P.S. Imagineering executive Scott Trowbridge hinted a little more as to the exact role Captain Keevan will play, noting that “We’ll learn a lot more about her and her role in some pretty iconic moments in Star Wars history.“)
Things get complicated for the Captain when Lt. Harman Croy of the First Order boards the Halcyon. Croy started his career as a data analyst, and realized that “anywhere the Halcyon landed, a little pocket of Resistance would bloom.”
Now he’s working in the field to figure out the truth about the Halcyon. Croy will “stop at nothing to complete his investigation and hold Keevan and everyone else in his sights responsible for the civil disobedience.” (And “everyone in his sights” will, of course, include all of the Passengers aboard the Halcyon!)
There is more to the fun-loving Astromech SK-62O than meets the eye…
You see, this little droid has some Resistance secrets hidden deep within his databanks.
His companion is Cruise Director Lenka Mok, who is “in charge of onboard entertainment, ensuring each voyage is an adventure.” She understands the secrets the droid is hiding and will do what it takes to protect her little friend (who also happens to be her Assistant Cruise Director).
Lenka loves her job, travel, passengers, and having fun, but she’s going to have to dig deeper into herself to find the strength to do the right thing by her droid. (And yes, she WILL ask you for help.)
Sammie seems like a good-natured mechanic, but he’s actually “more of a stowaway than a real mechanic.” He comes from Corellia, where he saw first-hand what the First Order was up to.
He managed to get onboard the Halcyon thanks to some help from someone who messed with the ship’s manifesto. Now he’s making his way to the Resistance on Batuu.
Passengers will also encounter D3-09 by way of holoscreens in their cabins. That’s right: You’ve got your own personal ROOM DROID!
D3-O9 runs the ship’s logistics, and she is “not shy about sharing her wealth of knowledge.” D3-O9 can chat with you about the ship and events in the story. (In this respect, she is not a personal assistant, per se, to help you with every little thing. But she WILL sing you a lullaby at night!)
Of course, you’ll spot familiar characters — and species! — as well!
Galactic Starcruiser Dining
Dinner at the Crown of Corellia Dining Room
Welcome to the Crown of Corellia Dining Room!
On the first evening, guests are entertained by Twi’lek galactic superstar, Gaya from Ryloth, in this intriguing supper club named after Corellia — the planet that delivered not only the Halcyon to the galaxy, but also the Millennium Falcon!
P.S. It’s been said that Gaya is quite the performer… but there might be more to her story than meets the eye. Why is a galactically-renown superstar cruising on the Halcyon? Guests on Galactic Starcruiser will have the chance to find out!
Click HERE for our FULL REVIEW of Dinner on Night 1 aboard the Galactic Starcruiser!
Dinner on the second evening offers The Taste Around the Galaxy!
Through group appetizers served to the table, choice of entree, and a specialty plated dessert, guests will enjoy “courses inspired by the geography and environments of iconic destination planets throughout the galaxy.”
You can read our complete review of the Taste Around the Galaxy dinner here. (Oh, and you can check out our thoughts about that BLUE SHRIMP COCKTAIL you see below HERE!)
Explore dishes from The Taste Around the Galaxy by finding our FULL REVIEW HERE!
The Crown of Corellia Dining Room also offers an exclusive dining experience: the Captain’s Table. (While meals are included as part of your stay, the Captain’s Table requires an additional fee of $50 per person*, plus tax, for one night.)
The Captain’s Table is set directly in the center of the Crown of Corellia Dining Room for “an especially memorable dinner experience” which also includes extra courses — featuring the Captain’s favorite dishes! — for the meal.
(Please Note: Passengers who book this experience will be seated at the Captain’s Table with other Passengers.)
In order to book the Captain’s Table, you will need to call your Galactic Starcruiser Specialist at any time before your Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser adventure.
Click HERE for our FULL REVIEW of the exclusive dining experience at the Captain’s Table!
Breakfast and Lunch at the Crown of Corellia Dining Room
Passengers aboard the Halcyon enjoy breakfast and lunch in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room during the day, with choices ranging from intergalactic fare to favorites from earth.
Breakfast features hot and cold plates.
Click HERE to find out what to eat (and what to avoid) at Breakfast on the Starcruiser.
Lunch offers choices of small bites like sandwiches, soups, mini flatbreads, salads, and sweet treats.
According to Disney, they have taken “really delicious things and [present] them in unexpected ways” that are “of and… inspired by Star Wars storytelling DNA.”
For example, you might pick up some Bubble Waffle Grilled Cheese for lunch, served with a creamy tomato bisque soup to dip it in.
We ate EVERYTHING for lunch on board the Galactic Starcruiser… and you can see it ALL in our review HERE!
And no matter the time of day, you can find plenty of Blue and Green Milk straight from Bubo Wamba Family Farms (which is also served at the Milk Stand in Black Spire Outpost).
We have a LOT more to share when it comes to dining in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, so we’re gathering more links below so you can learn everything about it:

And what about other space sips and snacks? Let’s check it out…
The Sublight Lounge
Guests of all ages can sip on Star Wars beverages (and grab some great bites) in the Sublight Lounge! (“Sublight” is the speed at which the ship travels when not in hyperspace.)
Perhaps you’ll enjoy a game of holo-Sabacc at the Sabacc Table, while you’re at it! This is also where the Sabacc Tournament takes place.
Don’t know how to play Sabacc? No worries! Cast Members explain the rules to guests, and you can also ask for help during the game. (A Stormtrooper helped us win a hand, so basically we’re on the Dark Side now.) During the Sabacc Tournament, Cast Members keep track of the winners and fill out a bracket. Guests compete and are eliminated when they lose until a single winner emerges!
Note that while the food items at the bar/lounge are included in the cost of your trip, most of the beverages are available at an additional cost.
Things like water or soda are available at the bar free of charge, but specialty drinks cost extra.
Believe it or not, we found some of our FAVORITE FOOD on the Starcruiser in the Sublight Lounge!
Click HERE to find our FULL REVIEW of the Sublight Lounge!
Atrium Snacks
What if you get hungry between meals? Even a Resistance fighter, scoundrel, or First Order sympathizer has to snack right? RIGHT!
Passengers will also find that there are a variety of snacks available (fully included in the cost of stay) throughout the trip. Primarily, these are presented in the ship’s Atrium from early afternoon until around dinner time.
These snacks are primarily individually packaged and available to easily grab and take on your adventure. From whole fruits to popcorn to krispie treats and cookies and beyond, you can see the full array here.
P.S. Passengers who have allergy or dietary concerns may visit our Frequently Asked Questions at the bottom of this page, or click HERE to learn where and how to speak with a Chef or Crew Member trained in special diets.
Guest Costumes and Galactic Starcruiser Shopping
Guests are able to immerse themselves in a Star Wars world unlike anything we’ve seen before. And this even includes costumes, as passengers are welcome to “don your galactic best.”
Though not required, passengers may wear their “galactic favorites” like Jedi robes. In fact, the Outer Rim Regalia offers participants the chance to show off their galactic gear!
However, as with the participatory elements mentioned above, passengers may simply wear clothing from earth, if preferred.
The Galactic Starcruiser also houses a “stylish boutique,” by the name of The Chandrila Collection.
This is where guests may purchase “galactic attire” or even housewares if they so wish!
In fact, passengers can get a head start on shopping, because several items of apparel are available online through shopDisney!
You can see many more items from the collection HERE. (P.S. Because The Chandrila Collection exists within the Star Wars universe and story, you won’t find Galactic Starcruiser-branded merchandise onboard. However, branded merchandise does exist, and you can click here to learn more or continue to the bottom of this page.)
Click HERE and HERE to see more of the merchandise on the Galactic Starcruiser!
Speaking of costumes… of course, the Crew Members assisting guests aboard the Starcruiser have their own unique look, too!
Now, that we’ve chatted about what’s on board the Halcyon, let’s chat about what’s OUTSIDE…
The Excursion to Batuu
As mentioned above, guests “make a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu” by way of a transport pod sent by Black Spire Outpost. Transports run between Batuu and the Starcruiser continuously during the excursion time for the 4-5 minute trip.
Batuu is the planet guests set foot upon when they enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (which means that dedicated time in the land is included in the stay)!
Click HERE to see EVERYTHING included with the excursion to Batuu.
Galactic Starcruiser guests will receive a Halcyon pin that identifies them as passengers while on Batuu.
Upon landing, guests can go experience the land’s attractions, Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.
Guests staying at the Starcruiser get FREE Lightning Lane access to both Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! (Lightning Lane access allows guests to bypass the Standby Lane for attractions, and guests will find the experience redemptions in their My Disney Experience app prior to their stay aboard the Starcruiser).
More than simply enjoying the rides, however, the attractions play into the larger story that guests are part of. For example, guests will learn more of the backstory to the smuggling going on at Smuggler’s Run including information on who the buyer is for the coaxium that you’re stealing on the ride.
Guests may have different experiences in the park, depending on what their chosen role is on the Galactic Starcruiser. According to the Imagineers, “You might be investigating that deal [the smuggling] on behalf of the First Order or you might be the person delivering the coordinates to Hondo to know where to go to get the coaxium.”
Cast Members at Batuu play a role as well, with guests interacting with them to learn more information and complete their missions!
You see, there are missions that you can complete on the Starcruiser as part of the story, and some of those extend to Batuu as well! Keep an eye on your DataPad to see if any characters need your help while you’re on Batuu. (Hint: they probably will.)
Imagineers said that the stories happening on the Galactic Starcruiser were “designed to intersect with the stories going on at Galaxy’s Edge when both were in development at the same time.”
Essentially, Galaxy’s Edge is a stop for guests onboard the Galactic Starcruiser to continue their stories, or they can choose to be a tourist for the day at Black Spire Outpost and relax and enjoy their time exploring Batuu.
Note that a Quick Service meal at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo or other Quick Service locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is included with your stay on the Starcruiser.
However, passengers interested in visiting Oga’s Cantina must make their own Advance Dining Reservation and pay for their items out of pocket. Guests may also call their Galactic Starcruiser Specialist to add an Oga’s Cantina reservation to their visit up to 60 days in advance.
Check out our excursion adventure on Batuu HERE!

Booking Reservations and Pricing
The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opened on March 1, 2022. Available voyage dates can be found on the Walt Disney World website.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The final voyage for the Star Wars Hotel will be September 28th-30th, 2023. After that, the Galactic Starcruiser will be permanently closed. On May 26th, Disney shared a message on the Galactic Starcruiser website stating that the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is unavailable for new bookings. However, the message also indicated that a limited number of rooms could become available for new bookings “from time to time.” Disney urges guests to continue checking the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser website for any new availability.
How to Book Reservations
Bookings can ONLY be made over the phone by calling: 407-939-5277 (or by working with a Travel Agency such as Small World Vacations).
Galactic Starcruiser Pricing
Disney has provided sample Standard Cabin Rates for the Galactic Starcruiser. The dates in the example below are for most weeknights from August 21, 2023 through September 14, 2023.
The rates will depend on your departure date, the number of guests in your cabin, and the type of cabin you choose. Prices, as presented in Disney’s graphic above, start from:
- 2 guests per cabin at $1,209 per guest, per night, or $4,809 total for the voyage
- 3 guests per cabin at $889 per guest, per night, or $5,299 total for the voyage
- 4 guests per cabin at $749 per guest, per night or $5,999 total for the voyage
Deposit Information and Cancellation Policy
A 20% deposit of the full amount is due at time of booking, and the full payment must be made 90 days out. You CAN cancel your trip prior to 90 days out. A booking agent shared with us that travel protection is recommended at $82.50 per person which will cover multiple cancellation reasons (guests have 14 days from the day of booking to cancel that protection if you buy it). If you cancel your trip 89-31 days out, you lose half of the full amount you paid, and if you cancel 30 days or less, you lose the full amount.
Galactic Starcruiser Packing List
Wondering what to bring aboard a Starcruiser? Disney has provided a handy packing list for the voyage! While it includes many of the same things you’ll see on a regular packing list for a Disney World vacation, there are definitely some Star Wars extras, so make some room in your space bags!
The BASICS are as follows:
- Photo ID or passport
- Phone and mobile device chargers
- Camera and accessories (batteries, memory cards, etc.)
- Prescription glasses or contact lenses
- Medication (in their original containers)
- Hair supplies for your favorite Star Wars hairstyle
- Sunscreen
- Hats
Bearing in mind that much of your excursion to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will take place outdoors, recommendations for ATTIRE include the following:
- Star Wars galaxy attire (Jedi robes, etc.)
- Jeans or pants
- Shorts
- Sunglasses
- T-shirts
- Rain jacket or windbreaker
- Sweater, sweatshirt or other clothes you can layer in colder conditions
- Sundresses
- Comfortable walking shoes like sneakers or sandals for your Planet Excursion (to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios)
Galactic Starcruiser Terminal Location
As mentioned above, passengers will start their journey at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Terminal:
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Terminal
201 South Studio Drive
Bay Lake, Florida 32830
The Galactic Starcruiser Terminal is located on the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, just east of World Drive, offering a seamless connection to Galaxy’s Edge.
PLEASE NOTE: Only registered guests for the Galactic Starcruiser are allowed to visit the Terminal or enter the Galactic Starcruiser.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Branded Merchandise
Note that The Chandrila Collection that we discussed above is full of merchandise that is NOT branded as Star Wars or for the Galactic Starcruiser, because it exists IN the Star Wars universe itself. However, guests do have a chance to purchase exclusive Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser merchandise.
When guests disembark the Starcruiser on the final day, a nook is opened in the terminal where guests may purchase these unique items.

Frequently Asked Questions
You’ve got questions, and we’ve got ANSWERS!
You’ve got (LOTS OF VERY SPECIFIC) questions, and we’ve answered them HERE!
If I am interested in booking Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, how should I prepare to book?
Disney advises that guests calling to reserve the Galactic Starcruiser should have the following information handy:
- Voyage date preferences (including alternates, as availability may be limited)
- Number of people in your party
- Names and ages of all people in your party, including any infants
- Address and phone number for all people in your party
- Preference for first or second dinner seating
- Any additional activities you would like to reserve (some additional activities may not be available yet when you call)
- Any desired dates for Disney Resort hotel reservations before or after your Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage (Disney also notes that for guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel before or after their stay aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, transportation to or from their Disney Resort hotel is also included.)
What other ways should I prepare for my stay?
Guests should download BOTH the Play Disney Parks app and the My Disney Experience app PRIOR to arrival.
Guests can use the My Disney Experience app to link their Galactic Starcruiser reservation to their account, check-in to the Starcruiser online to expedite boarding on Day 1, and to order food on Mobile Order during their excursion. (Click HERE to learn more about My Disney Experience.)
Guests will use the Star Wars Datapad on the Play Disney Parks app to view itineraries and deck plans and receive communications aboard the Starcruiser!
During our voyage, we were also provided with a phone to use for the datapad functions that are key to the character interactions and missions on the ship. However, please be aware that this might not always be provided.
What if someone in my traveling group has a food allergy or special dietary concern?
If you have a special dietary or allergy-friendly request, you will need to visit the Crown of Corellia Dining Room for a consultation once you’ve boarded the Galactic Starcruiser. You must complete your consult between 1PM and 4PM on the first day of your voyage. During this consultation, you can meet with a Chef or Crew Member trained in special diets. This is when you can discuss and plan for each meal you will enjoy aboard the Halcyon Starcruiser.
If you require pureed meals, adhere to medically restricted diets (like very low-protein diets), or prefer a kosher or halal meal, you also need to email [email protected] between 7 and 14 days before your trip.
Guests who wish to eat plant-based meals (made without meat, eggs, dairy, or honey) do NOT need to have a consult. These options will be readily available on the ship and will be marked with a green leaf icon.
What about food for Younglings (or less adventurous eaters)?
The food aboard the Starcruiser is very well-themed to its environment. If you’re traveling to space with a choosy eater, we discuss options here.
Is tipping expected on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser?
According to the Disney World website, gratuities for food service are included in your vacation package. However, optional gratuities for services such as valet parking, cabin or suite cleaning, “or any other service where optional tips are customary” are NOT included. Disney requests that guests who wish to provide options gratuities do so at the time of service. The Disney World website states that” Unlike on a cruise ship, you will not be asked to include a gratuity at the end of your voyage.” We discuss tipping on the Starcruiser in depth HERE.
Will I be able to swim at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser?
No; the Galactic Starcruiser does not have a pool.
Is there anything else I should know about wearing costumes on the Starcruiser?
Yes. As discussed above, guests are encouraged and welcome to wear Star Wars costumes! However, Disney also provides the following costume guidelines on the Walt Disney World website:
- “Costumes that may distract from the experience of other Guests are not permitted.
- All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but they may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
- Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
- Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
- Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
- Acceptable accessories include transparent wings, plastic lightsabers, toy swords and tutus. Costume headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
- Guests ages 13 and under may wear some costume masks; masks may not cover the entire face and must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.
- Costume masks of any kind may not be worn by Guests ages 14 and older.”
How can I learn about accessibility options on the Starcruiser?
Disney shares that services and accessibility features (such as wheelchair-accessible bathrooms) for guests with disabilities are available. Guests may inquire about available services when booking their voyage. Additionally, guests may use and remain in a wheelchair or scooter throughout their stay.
If I am not staying aboard the Galactic Starcruiser, may I make dining reservations to eat there or in any way visit as a day guest?
No. Disney has specified that “Only registered Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Guests are permitted to visit the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Terminal or board the starcruiser.”
What if an emergency takes place aboard the Starcruiser?
In an immersive experience such as the Galactic Starcruiser, it may be difficult to distinguish a genuine hotel emergency from a super-secret Resistance mission (which might feel like an “emergency” but isn’t a true problem). Prior to being transported into space, guests will watch a safety video which explains what happens in the case of a real emergency.
If there is a real emergency during your stay on the Galactic Starcruiser, the bright emergency lights will turn on, and you will hear a pre-recorded message that states, “Attention, an emergency have been reported in this building. This is an actual emergency. This is not a drill or part of the show. Please leave the building immediately.” You can read more HERE.
If I own my own Lightsaber, am I allowed to bring it onboard the Starcruiser?
Yes. However, please be aware that blades are not allowed in the public areas, but you can wear hilts around the ship.
Not every member of my traveling group is a major Star Wars fan. Is this experience only worthwhile for mega fans?
Is smoking permitted aboard the Starcruiser?
No; smoking is not permitted anywhere aboard the Galactic Starcruiser, and this includes the Climate Simulator (courtyard). To smoke, guests will need to speak to a Crew Member to be escorted to the front of the building.
And the NUMBER ONE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION: Is the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser WORTH the price tag?
We discuss this important question in great detail HERE. We also provide a complete breakdown of EVERYTHING you’re paying for in the Galactic Starcruiser experience here.
