Our latest visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom was jam packed with new food AND merchandise. In fact, we found so much of both that we decided to do TWO posts for you!
So, THIS one is for the shopaholics out there – it’s all about MERCHANDISE! Foodies can check out what’s new to EAT by clicking here!
And heads up: all the merchandise featured here can be found at Riverside Depot and Disney Outfitters in Discovery Island, neither of which are too far from the park’s Tree of Life.
T-Shirts Galore
Disney Outfitters
has updated their t-shirt display with squares on the walls featuring all the new designs. You’ll find the shirts around the store, of course, but the wall is a quick way to see everything at once.
We may be biased, but our favorite shirt from the designs below (it’s for the kiddos) is the “I’m just here for the snacks” shirt!
Right now adult graphic T-Shirts are $20.00 each when you buy two.
Now, some close ups, starting with our favorite:
Not to be left out, here are some shirts for men:
LOVING how true this is!
And for all of us procrastinators out there… this is the perfect Disney shirt.
You can always pick it up next time 😉 . (See what I did there?!)
Here’s some inspiration from Walt himself.
Minnie Mouse Merchandise
It seems that everyone’s favorite fashionista — Minnie! — has taken over areas of the stores with her trademark polka dots and bow appearing on all kinds of merchandise these days.
If you’re looking for a new back-to-school backpack for a Minnie fan, check this one out:
The fashionable Minnie has added some new T-shirts, too, including a few with some pretty sweet messaging.
And Minnie is always perfectly accessorized, so here’s a hat to go with your Minnie collection.
Who says bows are only for headbands?
Holiday Merchandise
Though it’s just newly August, we are constantly finding new additions to the holiday merchandise pop up in all the shops around the parks.
Can you see… they snuck a zebra in on the back of this Animal Kingdom ornament!
To remember your trip you can collect an ornament from each park or just go with this classic Walt Disney World ornament commemorating that magical moment of passing under those gates.
The gang is all here — including Santa Mickey — for this collection of Ear Hat ornaments.
General Merchandise
Talk about finding Nemo…
We found Dory, too!
We also spotted a Hidden Mickey in this notebook set design.
This Mickey Ears keychain is just one of a line which also features Best Dad, “I Love My Cat,” and more.
And we’re still very much in the rainy season in Orlando, so we’ve spotted quite a few of this updated design for the rainy day ponchos as well, with a fun contemporary look.
What will be your first item to purchase? Remember, many (though not all) of these items may be found on ShopDisney.com if you missed them on your trip or can’t wait to buy them.

So many of those t-shirts look like the one in the commercial where the guy’s shirt is only half washed. Saggy, baggy, probably made from recycled plastics and bamboo. They really need to go back to 100% cotton again. And make the sleeves longer and wider.

agree, the clothing is now cheap and generic, merch is becoming tacky. Not liking the changes. The new world of disney store is bad/bland enough and now it looks like the same look and designs are being pushed into the parks.

Love this post! It’s so exciting to see the merchandise. Makes me feel like I’m there. Keep up the good work!
