With Walt Disney World reservations now open for the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort — opening July 9, 2019 — we’ve been sharing construction updates. Today, we want to share complimentary construction pins that were distributed to guests of the resort.
Featuring 545 guest rooms (including 50 suites) and a rooftop restaurant, the Gran Destino Tower will also serve as the main entrance to the resort.
And we’re excited to see that guests are receiving free Construction Pins as a surprise in-room gift! (Thanks to our twitter follower D. Marsicano for sharing the pin pics with us!)
We’re not certain if all registered guests are receiving this freebie or how long this little gift will last. Let us know about your recent experience at Coronado Springs Resort.
Showcasing Donald Duck and crew, these pins are great keepsakes!

We stayed at Coronado Springs for Thanksgiving and were so excited to see this fun little surprise!

Wow, I don’t ever remember any resorts giving pins out before, even if they were under construction. Cool!

We stayed at Coronado Springs about 2 years ago when I believe they began the construction and we received these pins in our room! I thought it was so neat that Disney was trying to give you some magic during their “not so magical” times!

I received construction pins when I stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort in January 2018. Sadly that small token did NOT make up for the miserable lack of a brick-and-mortar dining area. Disney food trucks (not the gourmet trendy kind) were woefully inadequate.

My husband and I stayed at Coronado Springs this past April for our anniversary, and we got these pins back then. It was certainly a cute surprise, and I’m definitely never going to trade them. Glad to know they’re still doing this as construction continues and hope they do this for any other resort renovations/expansions in the future.

We got those pins there a year ago. We’ll be back on Friday, now I’m curious to see if we’ll get another set.

We also received them this week when we arrived ?

We got construction pins at Wilderness Lodge, when they were working on the villas
Sadly no pins says
We did not. Stayed last night. Should have as construction was a disappointment.

No pins for us. We stayed between April 15 and 21 this year. At the same time, there was very little construction noise.
