I feel super-torn on them putting a TV into Typhoon Lagoon… the thing that sets Disney apart from competitors is that you are unable to see the real world from inside of it, and as such there are no TVs in the parks. A TV in Typhoon Lagoon kind of ruins the notion that you’re on a desert island without power, and even if you can forgive that fact with generators or something, having a high-definition cable or satellite connection is inexplicable. While it may seem like grasping at straws, bringing the real world explicitly into a realm of fantasy is a huge no-no for me. But tired dads and annual pass holders who are bored of the parks and want to make use of their purchase will probably enjoy it. To me this goes further than alcohol in the Magic Kingdom.
