It’s no small thing turning the calendar from one year to the next, and with 2019 arriving at warp speed, we got to thinking about all the awesome eats from 2018 that we’d want to munch on as we ring in the new year.
Here are our picks for Five Awesome Eats You’ve Gotta Get in 2019 in Disney World!
Storybook Dining — Artist Point, Wilderness Lodge
Nothing says Walt Disney World quite as much as dining with fairy tale characters, and the brand new Storybook Dining experience in Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is one such dreamy meal.
Not only can you say goodbye to 2018 with your Snow White pals (and the Evil Queen!), but you can also celebrate the coming year with delicious food. The Royal Prime Rib is truly celebratory and a terrific way to treat yourself to a year well done! We also loved the Stroll Through Nature Gnocchi, which would be a lighter way to start the new year!
Toffee Bread Pudding — House of Blues, Disney Springs West Side
This year saw the demotion of ‘Ohana Bread Pudding — our long-standing favorite Disney dessert — to second place as the Toffee Bread Pudding at House of Blues in Disney Springs’ West Side took its place as our all-time favorite bread pudding in Disney World!
If you’re looking to ring in 2019 with some decadent dessert, the Whiskey Butter on top of the toffee-flecked, custard-soaked Toffee Bread Pudding is the way to go. Richness overload seems like the perfect way to cheer on the new year, yes? 😉
Cheddar Cheese Poutine — Refreshment Port, Epcot
Nothing says Happy New Year like a bowl of Refreshment Port Traditional Poutine. Crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds, and brown gravy are a savory combination that, frankly, we just love. Watch the menu at Refreshment Port, though, because they’ve had Canadian Cheddar Cheese Poutine in the past, and that is an absolute must! Plus they regularly add specialty poutine (right now it’s Beef Brisket!) that are fun to try, too!
Save the confetti and fireworks for everyone else; we want poutine. (Okay, we’ll take poutine and fireworks!)
Massive Milkshakes — Beaches & Cream, Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
Celebrating the coming new year in central Florida often means warm temperatures — and an excuse to consume milkshakes! We want to head straight for Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts because… well, just look.
These over-the-top milkshakes are basically dessert on top of dessert. Can’t go wrong with that combo no matter what day of the year it is!
Bread Service — Sanaa, Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village
Really, what’s a new year’s celebration without one of our absolute favorite foods: Sanaa’s Bread Service at Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Kidani Village. This appetizer — a spread of flatbreads served with plentiful chutneys and sauces — is a celebration of flavors and colors, making it a must have for the new year!
We’ve loved 2018 in Disney food, but we’re ready to party like it’s 2019 with these awesome Disney eats!

The only thing that appeals to me out of that lot is the milk shakes at Beaches and Cream. I’m staying in Beach Club in September and was hoping to have one but B&C will be shut then!
