Howdy, folks! It’s time for another What’s New! This time we’re at Magic Kingdom where the last vestiges of the holiday season are disappearing, and we’ve discovered new merchandise, the return of some sweet treats, and more! Come join us for a walk through the park!
What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.
Happily Ever After Cotton Candy
is back on Main Street! We spotted it at the Main Street Popcorn Cart, looking as colorful and festive as ever!
Cast members also told us that the Light Up Cotton Candy is back and most often found on carts near the Castle in the evening!
We told you about the beautiful and yummy Castle Cupcake yesterday, but we wanted to give you a peek at the signage in Main Street Bakery.
And here’s one of the Castle Cupcakes on display in the Bakery, too. We just love this!
But what better place to photograph a Castle Cupcake than, you know, with Cinderella Castle in the background!
Speaking of the Castle, at the Castle Hub Popcorn Cart we spotted this menu board for the Purple Minnie Cake on a Stick. This was the only place we saw these advertised on our visit.
A crane is parked behind Cinderella Castle, and the holiday lights have started to come down. Until next year, sparkly castle lights!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland
Over at Auntie Gravity’s the Special Mickey Hot Cocoa is back.
This is a traditional hot cocoa topped with a massive Mickey marshmallow! We first spotted this back in December for the holiday season, and it’s back!
Recently we noticed that Bay 2 and the main seating area of Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café were closed for partial refurbishment. Now, Bay 2 has reopened.
But the main seating area is still closed off. The entrance doors in this area have been closed off, too.
It’s walled off and dark, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for new details as they emerge!
There’s a little more Tron coaster construction visible to guests through the Speedway.
We’ll keep looking over the walls and riding the Peoplemover for ya on this one! 😉
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland
At Big Top Treats, guests can now pick even more flavors of Goofy’s Glacier! Don’t forget: you can ask to get your Glacier rainbow-style!
Big Top Treats also has some purple treats!
The Belle souvenir cup is currently not on the menu at Gaston’s Tavern. Cast members say they haven’t had the cups for two weeks, but they weren’t sure if this was a permanent change or not.
The Peppermint Sundae at Storybook Treats is finally off the menu.
The Peppermint Sundae was a holiday offering, but it made the cut for a couple weeks into the New Year. 🙂 Sundae options at Storybook Treats include vanilla, chocolate, or twist soft serve. You can also still find the Peter Pan Float and Tink’s Pixie-Dusted Cone here!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom Merchandise
There’s lots of fun new merchandise in Magic Kingdom! You’ll find pieces from the D-Lish line at Main Street Confectionery!
And if you’re looking for a Mickey Mouse Through the Years Dooney & Bourke, you’ll find these totes at Uptown Jewelers!
Memento Mori in Liberty Square has a Haunted Mansion-inspired keychain you’ve GOT to see…
It’s a light-up DOOM BUGGY! There are three light settings… and it’s totally awesome.
You’ll also find Haunted Mansion Wallpaper Sunglasses here. We need these, like, immediately.
And for those long, cold winter days: a Stitch Hatbox Ghost Puzzle! Fabulous!
And at the Emporium you’ll find a full line of Disney Squad tee shirts for everyone in the family!
The Mickey ears version even features a little shadow of Cinderella Castle. Such a fun detail!
This one comes in red, too.
Likewise on the Minnie Mouse version, which features a full outline of Minnie’s head (with bow, of course!) rather than a Minnie ears hat.
Goofy’s hat and lots of orange question marks take center stage on this squad shirt, although the background is an outline of Mickey’s head.
There’s also a Donald Duck version! You can cover all the bases here!
Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration!
And of course we were in the Magic Kingdom on Friday showing you all the latest with Mickey’s Surprise Celebration! The new Move It Shake It MousekeDance It Street Party has started up…
and the Mickey Birthday Sipper cup can be found at several locations throughout Magic Kingdom, including Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe and Casey’s Corner. We were there yesterday and they still had them in stock!
There’s some new food available, including a frozen non-alcoholic Now and Forever cider slush at Gaston’s Tavern…
…and the return of the super cheesey Mickey Cheeseburger with mac and cheese over at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe!
Check out our EVERYTHING You Need To Know About Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration post for ALL the latest details!

Any end date on the new food items? Going in March and hoping to try some! Especially the Mickey Mac and cheese burger
DFB Sarah says
Marie, the end of the celebration is scheduled as September 30, and the official word from Disney is that the food items will change throughout that time. But there’s no specific end date for any particular food items. We’re hoping the popular items will stick around for the duration, but everything is subject to change without notice. We’ll stay on top of things!
