ABC Commissary is a Counter Service restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The spot has gone through some changes in regards to service style over the past few years, and now another change is on the way.

Starting today, guests can make Advance Dining Reservations for dinner (starting at 4:00 PM) at ABC Commissary for dates beginning June 2, 2019, and will be given priority entry upon arrival for their reservation.

Then, booked guests will place their order, receive a pager, find a seat, then wait for food to be delivered to their table. (This part of the process has been in place for dinner previously, but the Advance Dining Reservation option is new.)

These reservations may be made as you would for a Table Service restaurant: by booking online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE. Note that the spot still retains its quick service, fast casual designation on the Disney World website, and lunch service will retain the standard, walk-up service as typical for a counter service restaurant.

Additional enhancements to ABC Commissary will include new self-service beverage stations, updated Art Deco décor, and even a new dinner dish… Pot Roast served over mashed potatoes and root vegetables with beef gravy and onion straws.

Joyce, we would expect dinner to remain quick service, even with the fast-casual designation, but if we see otherwise, we’ll update!
I’m, why? There really is no need for this, but I do welcome hopefully better food at QS there.
I have a reservation on Thursday August 29th at abC commissary. Will that guarantee me entrance to the park? If not what will happen if I cannot get into the park? Will I be charged?
It looks like they don’t accept the dining plan for dinner reservations at ABC Commissary. Is that correct?

Dawn, we have not tried this, but it may be possible. You might reach out to Disney to see if they can confirm.
We ended up not keeping our reservation at Commissary, but we did make reservations at Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus. Both places had a check-in line and separate place to order for people with reservations. We were able to walk up and place our order immediately. Mobile ordering wasn’t necessary. GREAT use of quick service credits!
