Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort — Gran Destino Construction
Progress continues on Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, where exterior work seems to be approaching completion.

Strawberry Cake and Orange Cake are sweet and simple — lovely in pastel for this spring season.

In El Mercado, the House Soups are now Chicken Tortilla (a standby lately) and Broccoli Cheddar.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort — Merchandise
We found this great Walt Disney World shirt at Coronado. We love the ruffles on the shoulders.
And these new-to-us Ariel Pajamas are a lovely shade of turquoise.
If you’re celebrating Easter at Coronado Springs, know that the resort has pre-made Easter Baskets for sale as well as components so you can purchase other items to make your own.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach — Skyliner Station Construction
Meanwhile at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Skyliner Station construction continues in earnest. You can see the track entering the building on the right and lots of detail to help it blend with the resort’s style.

Yo! I have been waiting for the return of the awesome jerk chix wrap forever since it left Gasparilla grille years ago! Now I see this at Banana Cabana, I may have to go over there just for that! Best sandwich I have ever had, actually it was as a wrap originally. And to think they had a grilled catfish sandwich there when i visited in Jan instead of this beauty, c’mon GF!!
ann says
hi
will all reconstruction be finished by sep 2020 as we have stayed here before and we are booking for sep2020 at end of this month
DFB Sarah says
Ann, currently the only remaining construction at Caribbean Beach is on the Skyliner Station there. That construction is on-going, and no official opening date for the Skyliner or end date for the construction has been announced — just “fall 2019.”
Kristin says
Mermaid school is offered through a bunch of different resorts. I just did it two weeks ago at Art of Animation!
Gloria says
Is mermaid school only for children?
DFB Sarah says
Gloria, the official age restrictions from Disney say “four and older”, with no maximum age. Whether that includes adults or it’s implied that it’s only for children, I’m not sure. Try calling Disney directly (407-WDW-PLAY) to see what they say.
Ben says
$49 for a long sleeve shirt?!!!!!!
$41 for a basket with a few chocolate coins, a stuffed animal and a cookie?!!!!
What an absolute ripoff
I bought Mickey and Minnie ears on ebay – $20 for the pair.
The Deluxe Disney Dining Plan for 4 – which will save me HUNDREDS of $$$$$ based upon the prices I have seen. Bkfast for 4 at Coronado would be about $50 per day x 7 days = $350. I didnt even start adding lunch, snacks, dinners and booze.
