Star Wars
seems to be all the talk lately with the soon to be opening of Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios and the mega announcement of the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening dates for both Disney World and Disneyland. And following suit, it seems as if a popular Star Wars overlay might be sticking around a bit longer than expected.
It’s no surprise that guests love Hyperspace Mountain in Disneyland. This Star Wars-themed overlay allows guests in Disneyland to be a part of the Star Wars universe in a unique way as they fend off crossfire from starfighters and TIE fighters.
This overlay returned to the park on May 4th and was suspected to stick around through the end of the Summer.
Now, according to the Orange County Register, it seems as if the overlay is here to stay through Disneyland’s spooky season. The OCR states, “that means Space Mountain won’t get the Ghost Galaxy ride overlay this Halloween season.”
Currently, there are no times listed on the Disneyland website for Hyperspace Mountain beyond August 22nd. So, hopefully, the times will be updated soon to reflect this change! But nothing is confirmed until announced by Disney, so stay tuned!

I’ve read and heard via video that some attractions at Hollywood studios will become tier 1 fast passes. What the heck is a tier 1 fast pass and why is it different? Do you have to be in a Disney hotel to get it? What’s up with this new classification? Thanks in advance for explaining this.

I really enjoyed the truly scary, “Ghost Galaxy” seasonal Halloween ride overlay, but Hyperspace Mountain is still pretty cool and I’m fine with it staying.
I hope the Ghost Galaxy ride overlay come back during the Halloween season with new special effects and scares, THAT would be awesome!
