The days of walking through Black Spire Outpost in Disney’s Hollywood Studios are quickly approaching.

And Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will allow guests to meet plenty of their galactic pals. But, another Hollywood Studios location, Star Wars Launch Bay, has been doing that for a while now! And they’ve got a change on the horizon… .
Star Wars Launch Bay
We’ve wondered long and hard on what changes if any would be made to Launch Bay once Galaxy’s Edge opens. And as of today, Disney has started to answer the questions we’ve been seeking. Change indeed is coming!
One of our favorite Star Wars characters, Darth Vader, will be returning to his previous meet and greet location at Star Wars Launch Bay beginning August 29th.

Disney has not officially spoken on Kylo Ren, who had previously replaced Vader’s meet and greet; but we hope that he will be moving over to Galaxy’s Edge. (He’s a massive presence at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, after all.) You can read all about our Disneyland Galaxy’s Edge experience here!

What about Chewbacca???? Will he still be at Star Wars Launch Bay?
That is so cool. When we had our family trip in June. My grandson and I watched the Star Wars Stage Show. He was so excited to see Darth Vader. And I was surprised that this 5 year old even knew who he is. I just told my daughter about the meet & greet. My grandson is going to be very happy, to get a photo and meet Vader.
