Disney Food Blog’s own The DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining 2013 e-Book — offers great insight into dining at WDW! Today, I’d like to share one of my favorite late night dining tips from the DFB Guide!
If you find yourself in WDW needing to refuel late at night (this happens a lot with late flights!), there are actually a few locations around WDW that are open late, or even 24 hours!
For example, the Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is open all day and all night! It’s also a convenient stop on your way out of the Magic Kingdom. Take the resort monorail or a boat launch to the Grand Floridian before heading back to your parked car at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Late night options include a 16″ pizza, which you can customize with toppings! Or choose from individual flatbread pizzas and sandwiches. Dine in or take your food outdoors to a table overlooking the marina (and Cinderella Castle).

As many times and over as many years that I have visited WDW, I thought there was nothing to learn. But, I did not know about Gasparilla’s 24 hour service. This goes to show the value of the Disney Food Blog Guide, the DFB itself, AJ’s tireless research and the power of community which includes all of us, the Disney fans and foodies.

This is invaluable when you are taking advantage of the Magic Kingdom extra magic hours from Midnight – 3AM like I did last week. I was quite hungry, but totally forgot about this 24 hr option. Instead, before heading out to the park the Wilderness Lodge, I refilled my mugs and bought a snack and put them in the refrigerator. I would have preferred a pizza.

Is the uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwich for $2.49 at gasparilla grill and games considered a snack item on the disney dining plan?
AJ says
Sharon, good question!! I would believe that they are when sold separately. If sold as part of a kids’ meal counter-service — they’d be a counter service credit.
