For years, guests have dreamed of a walkway that could connect the Grand Floridian Resort and Magic Kingdom.

A few weeks ago, we shared information about a permit that just might be setting the groundwork for that dream to become a reality.
Though we weren’t sure if Disney was going to move forward with the process — or if anything would truly come out of the filing of the permit — we spotted something that gives us a little bit of hope this week. When visiting The Grand Floridian, we noticed a bit of construction taking place. 
Note that Disney has not announced the walkway officially, so this could just be random construction happening over there…in the general vicinity of where an…um…walkway would be… .

I was there at the GF last week for 4 days, confirmed it IS the walkway construction beginning !!!!
Thx Robert, been saying they should do this for yrs, just make it arched to allow Electric water pageant barges to continue to use the waterway to dock. Now, assume they will make a similar security checkpoint like the walk from BLT? Will be appealing as at peak times the monorails by the time they get to GF are packed so why not just make the walk?
Really like the idea of walking back and forth to Magic Kingdom. I was wondering if there has been any talk of replacing some of the cars on the monorail. I know it’s probably costly but needed.
